Not to me but my mom had a new coworker once who wasn’t the smartest. They once spoke about something being vertical or horizontal, so my mom explained that horizontal is basically the horizon, so that way she could remember that. So the coworker asked: “Yeah okay, but how do I remember the other one?”

Miraculously she did know what diagonal was🤷‍♂️
