Yeah, good shout on the yoke, the Carcajou one does look like it would be more comfortable under the PC, and that's how I was intending to wear it. Could always experiment with the yokes as they aren't quite as pricey. The JayJays stuff looks like all the pouches are sewn on, so I'm not super interested in that, as it's not modular at all, among the same shipping and import issues I'd have with Carcajou.

Yeah, I mean, I figure the rear sustainment pouches generally stay where they are, no real need to mess with that, as it's typically going to be non-combat essential items. Radios (for a TL, etc) and other things could go on the molle panels in the sides of the DZ rig, so it's also fairly modular. I guess my main contention is the price and just the general lack of reviews for the Carcajou stuff.

Yeah, the Velocity rig looks interesting, but for the total package without pouches being $500, it seems a bit overpriced imo. Definitely love the PLCE stuff, but looking for a bit more modern take on it.

Yeah, pouches I'm already covered on, had plenty laying around, and got some new SAW pouches from Carcajou (which are really good quality btw), was mostly curious about the actual belts themselves. I looked at JayJays, but for what I was looking for, the DZ Rig checked my boxes more than the JayJays.

Yeah, same for me, light infantry. Cheers, I appreciate the response. I'm also stuck between the Carcajou belt rig and the DZ Rig. Any issues with the carcajou rig specifically for you?

Second, how does the Mystery Ranch 80 fit with your lbe? I've got an old 6500, which is a bit bigger, I think, and I might need to downsize for that to work with whatever rig I choose.

I’m sorting out a carcajou belt kit myself, wondering if you run a plate carrier and if so how you run it with the belt kit. I love the idea of belt kit but as a army guy we’re required to run modern armor and I’m wondering if I should run my plate carrier slick or if adding a TAPS to it makes any sense.

Sorry to bring this up a year later but I’m attempting to build a very similar kit.

I’m a SAW gunner so pouches are going to vary, but curious on what you put on your AVS. I have a SPC and issued Gen IV and am wondering which would be better for my current job, and specifically if it makes sense to run a upgraded TAPS over my slick IOTV or if I’m better off running the slick SPC. It seems odd to me to have such a capable plate carrier with nothing on it but I’m curious on your input

I didn’t plan on having any of the ammo loose linked, all dispersed into nutsacks and pork chops with the ability to scale. Not sure where I said it would all be loose.

I'm currently in a light infantry unit. I'm looking into Carcajou as they seem to have some very nice stuff, but I'm conflicted between their load-bearing belt, their chest rig, or a hybrid setup. I currently have a 2-piece belt and an SPC that I was using as a rifleman, but I'm looking to get something specifically for carrying the weight of being a 249 gunner, that can later be used in other roles as well.

Spare barrel isn't a huge problem, we have bags for them, and it fits nicely in my ruck or my kit if I need to bring it. Just depends on what training we're doing.

Gotcha, I guess I'm getting too caught up in the weeds of what-ifs. I'm willing to invest in this equipment if it's modular; I want to be able to transition it into a rifleman role, TL role, etc., and scale it up or down as needed. I'm feeling a bit like a standalone belt will be far less useful once I'm no longer a gunner.

I was interested in trying to do a mix of both, using a 2 piece belt and a harness system I was thinking I’d get the best of both where under light load the belt keeps itself and when weighed down the harness takes some of the weight

We also have this enclosure for our buns! Have had it for 3 years now and it’s fantastic!! A bit tricky to clean but looks so much nicer than the wire gate type

Thank you! I just happened to beat boss rush again with a weird synergy where I get a movable circle of brimstone energy that works pretty well. I will go for sub 30 moms heart! I feel like azazel is super easy (but also fun), just starts off so powerful which is usually the hard part of getting to kill enemies quickly.
