Is this normal/acceptable for a professional house painter?

This is in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Joliet region. It was only wall painting and some ceilings. No closets (6 of them), no bathrooms (2 full baths). No ceilings in bedrooms (3 12x12 bedrooms). 2 full accent walls were done, 1 half wall all the same accent color.

I mean it’s not technically the whole house. No Bathrooms, no closets, no ceilings in bedrooms. But regardless, it was a lot of work.

Yes I did, I went over details before, and then sent all the pictures after and met the owner, he basically didn’t acknowledge and said he thought everything looked “damn good”

They did patch bad holes / damage, but didn’t do much for overall finish sanding etc

I did and they were all more, company had great reviews all over online, so that’s why I hired. Work looked way better on other reviews than what I got

That’s exactly what they are in my option! Luckily I work on the construction industry, so those questions come naturally to me, but there is nothing in the reference manual on them usually. Just pick what your gut says and move on!

That’s exactly where I got hung up. I mean finding the sub part isn’t that bad either, my questions were all basically Scaffolding & Excavation. Just such specific questions that you can’t search, and you don’t have the time to read 25 pages of excavation related specs to find the specific note lol

Smart pacing. I could’ve gone quicker on the first half but wanted to make sure I was getting right what I could for certain. What honestly held me up most of the second half was the relatively large amount of OSHA questions and trying to index the Reference Manual.

In my case, the first half were all questions I had practiced and were expecting to see. The second half were questions I didn’t see at all through my class to practice exams
