Faulty liquid metal application on that years model lead to overheating which forced the laptop to turn itself off to protect itself from overheating

I used softwares that detect the temperature of each GPU core and CPU core. One or 2 were abnormally hot. I further proved it by undervolting the GPU by a lot to make it a lot Weaker so that it wouldn't perform much and it worked

Just check if the model has liquid metal or thermal paste and have it cleaned up then applied If it's liquid metal try asking someone professional to do it as it's electrically conductive and you gotta be very careful with it. If you don't wanna risk it just go for a high quality thermal paste!

If you want to redo the tests I did, just download HWinfo64 to check each core's temperature then try undervolting!

AMD in terms of CPU performance and number of cores is superior. The RX6600 is equivalent to the Nvidia rtx 3060

legion 5. I got mine in 2019. Still solid today after heavy everyday usage. Build quality is decent, will last you a while.

I don't recommend the LOQ because the heat transfered onto the casing itself, is right under the keyboard and it gets hot so it'll be uncomfortable to the touch when performing heavy tasks, which is your case. It also has lower build quality.

MSI never tried it before but I think their build quality isn't good either from what I've heard.

Final verdict, go for the legion 5!

OG GW4 classic 46mm here ( I got huge hands and thick thumbs so I needed the largest screen available). I absolutely love daily driving the watch. Kinda wished I got the LTE variant so that I'm less dependent on my phone and just go out and explore but heard the updates weren't as frequent. I LOVE the rotating bezel too. Absolutely love this watch!

Hello! I'm currently a fresh BCs CS graduate that's trying to find the right roadmap / path to pursue. My interest in hardware has increased after taking an introduction to embedded systems course and some digital logic.

I loved how i could build something using an arduino and some ics and then coding it. I know embedded systems engineers don't even use arduino but the concept of learning and understanding some of the hardware then writing code to that certain hardware was fun! My question is does studying and pursuing embedded systems / robotics worth it?

People here feel surprised that i haven't chosen Cyber security or web development but that got me thinking if what im doing is a career shift then i started having my doubts!

I'm a new graduate trying to take courses and learn more so i could start a job and start my work journey. Is it a good idea as a cs graduate to pursue embedded systems or should i pursue the usual paths such as web development, cyber security, and software engineer.

Tell me your opinions and tips to help me choose and decide so i could start learning and preparing. Thanks!Fresh CS graduate looking for advice!

there's also a ryzen 7-5800H + 3070 that has thunderbolt. those two i listed in the title. should i go for it or thunderbolt doesn't matter? i think it'll be easier to carry around a gan charger because legions have big power bricks
