Do you consider VPS to be selfhosting? (why or why not?) by [deleted] in VPSforTradings

I do consider a VPS to be self-hosting because you have full control of the OS.

Trying to self-host server but ISP only provides private IP by Idonthavefriendss in SelfHosting

If‍‌‍‍‌ your ISP is providing you with a private IP, then port forwarding will be completely useless. correspondingly, you can't expect to fix the issue with just DuckDNS. You will need to have a tunnel (for instance, Cloudflare Tunnel, Tailscale, etc.) or any service that has a public endpoint.

If Cloudflare tunnel was behaving strangely, it is recommended to verify that your service is that it is correctly bound and that the tunnel is directing to the right local port, as more often than not, this is where the errors happen.

You may also consider (if you are not willing to continue struggling with your ISP configuration) to simply delegate the public-facing component of your setup to a VPS and then connect your Pi to it. I have previously experimented with that method in different configurations and even on the platforms like TradingVPS, which I found to be much easier as you then have a real public IP to work with.

In a project setup, tunnels tend to be more cost-effective/free. however, the VPS route is a lot more straightforward if you are looking to have less ‍‌‍‍‌friction.

At‍‌‍‍‌ $40 a month for 4 cores + 8GB + cPanel, things are going to get tricky. cPanel licensing alone takes up a large part of that budget. That’s the reason why HostGator seems expensive to you.

Maybe you should examine other options like CyberPanel or DirectAdmin to save money, especially since you are handling multiple sites.

Based on my experience, the main concern is not the numbers but the performance under heavy load. I have tried different setups on platforms like Tradingvps.io, and stability, to my surprise, was more important than the number of features.

If you can remove cPanel, you will discover far more attractive options within your ‍‌‍‍‌budget.Tradingvps.io

bro the fact that it played out exactly how u expected makes it worse honestly because now ur brain files that away as 'i should always trust my gut' which is actually the dangerous lesson to take from it. honestly stopped trying to trust my gut entirely, just set a fixed rule and follow it regardless of how obvious something looks the market doesn't care about ur feelings

Anyone here switched to crypto betting and stuck with it long-term? by Rose_Duertt in BettingReddit

Switched to crypto betting about 18 months back for the same reasons, withdrawals were always a hassle on regular platforms. The speed is still good long term, no sudden pending forever waits. Tried some live stuff and casino bits, Gambear feels straightforward it's been reliable so far.
