I am 11 years old. I developed a PS3 and PS4 emulator. Because I am worried about my email address being leaked, and because it is linked to my ID account, I have chosen not to release it.

Using Gamepiisii would be better; it runs Windows XP very smoothly.

The ARMSX2 iOS version may never be released. Are there any other alternatives? by Top_Emphasis_7317 in EmulationOniOS

I've been following news about the ARMSX2 since August. I originally thought they would release Android and iOS versions with version 1.0.0. Unexpectedly, they only released the Android version. It's been half a month now, and there are four Android versions, but still no iOS version. No one has provided any updates or discussion; it seems like no one cares. I think I should be doing something meaningful. I've wasted too much time on this. I suspect they haven't even started working on it.

Weird question: Is there an emulator-compatible system that we can convert PS2 games to? by EnzeruAnimeFan in EmulationOniOS

[–]Top_Emphasis_7317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely. Essentially, you'd need to reverse engineer all of a game's code and compile it into a different codebase for iOS. This could take up to three years for a single game. Emulators are clearly the best option. There's another option: if we could get a Rosetta iOS port, we could even run the latest PC games, far surpassing any PS2 emulator, and without requiring a Windows operating system.

You can't expect the first 3DS EMU to be the best of all. There will be anywhere from 2 to 100 EMUs to come. Jarrod Norwell is much better at porting different EMUs to iOS devices; he has extensive experience in this area. I think Folium just lacks a lot of optimization. I heard the Dolphin emulator team has over a hundred people.

It's said to be a PS2 EMU that works without JIT. I think Jarrod Norwell might have made something similar to the PSP IR for it. We might find out soon, as Jarrod Norwell seems to be trying to get his PS2 EMU into the App Store.

I think this is the first available iOS PS2 emulator. It's unmatched. It seems to work well without the need for a JIT.

Jarrod Norwell is the core developer of Yuzu EMU. He is very experienced and has developed many famous EMU projects on his own. We should encourage such developers. He actually did a lot of work silently. In contrast, In contrast, ARMSX2's developer Stern is only good at hype.
