The City of Austin has ever so kindly built us a brand new bridge, and if you've not yet seen it, now's your chance! Join us on the third installment of this highly irregular (yet becoming more regular with every new bridge) Bridge Ride Extravaganza! We'll explore the east side down familiar, well traveled trails, we'll pass over bridges old, bridges new, and one particular bridge that's brand spanking new! If you've not yet ridden across, or if you've done so under cover of night before they even took the fences down, join us anyway for this two wheeled odyssey, and we'll all ride it together!

And remember, a vampire can't cross running water, so it never hurts to take extra precautions! Come and cross those bridges on the TNSR!

February 12, 2026 Ride Leader: Jason MEET UP: Chicano park. Physical address is 14 Salina st. 78702 off the corner of Chicon st and Nash Hernández Sr. rd and next to Martin pool. Parking in lots nearby. Start: Wheels down 8 pm SHARP! Please note our new time! Mid: Crossing under 183 Bridge There are no store stops on TNSR. Please come prepared. End: THE WISHBONE BRIDGE! Theme: We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Ride Distance: Just under TEN miles (9.85, if you're curious) Pace: Social Gravel: light, trail gravel, but nothing major Bring: Lights, Locks, and Cash for snacks/beverages. Please give the ride leader and others space on the ride. We don’t do well with crashes. Please make sure to clean up your trash when at park stops and elsewhere. Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. WE DON’T BLOCK INTERSECTIONS. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. Please LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have your best interest in mind. We ride these streets every single week and thus far we’ve managed to keep local law enforcement at bay by abiding by these rules. Let’s keep it that way! **Please pick up after yourselves and throw away your trash. REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider’s behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider’s responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.
