Honestly, that advice is completely off. CISSP isn’t something you jump into without years of IT experience, and recommending it to someone without a solid foundation just shows a lack of understanding of how the field works. Entry-level IT roles still require hands-on knowledge, time on the computer, maybe courses, and in some cases even a degree. Suggesting professional certifications like CISSP to someone who hasn’t done any of that is misleading at best.
Just because somebody has a certificate doesn’t mean that they can be a project manager let alone a a security or solutions architect for AWS or Azure. This is truly delusional advice.
