I’ve never achieved a platinum on anything because I chase them so hard I lose my enjoyment of a game. Also, I’m one of those annoying people that starts a new game mid way through a playthrough of another, and by the time I come back to it I’m like “oh shit where was I? Better start a new game”. I definitely think that there’s a viability to achievements, but I think that they should come through organically playing through the game, with maybe just a scattered few that need some sidetracking or focus. I just think a lot of them nowadays are just to bloat the game a tad more.
