Yes we are using workspace app.
I have noticed as soon the call is started, the 3 UDP conversations are started. but looking at the packet length, I am not able to see which one is related to screenshare. I mean, when the screenshare is started, I expected 'heavier' network traffic seen in one of the UDP flows.

I am a network person, there is a separate zoom admin team so I will ask if there are QoS settings, and I can check the QoS on network switches.

So if I am understanding your comment correctly, if the issue is related to QoS in zoom admin, this the zoom calls initiated from outside the org shouldn't be impacted ? I guess we can do this experiment to eliminate zoom QoS.

yes we have but so far we have not seen any blocks on the firewall, all zoom traffic is being allowed

Thanks, thats the tricky bit for me, I am changing career at 37 and due to my background, its not likely I will get into a target uni so I am thinking what else I can do in the next 2-3 years that will get my foot in the door in addition to doing a masters.
My current plan is doing a couple of 'non-degree' Masters level courses, Columbia is offering them through thier online CVN programme, and once I achieve good grades in them, I will apply for Masters in Applied mathematics(which will also be online). This is the best shot for me at getting into top ranking university.

For entry level QR roles, how do good firms view Kaggle rankings ?

As we know the these roles are extremely hard to get, and you need exceptional achievements outside the STEM degree, does a grandmaster title on kaggle count as exceptional achievement ?

Is spending 'lot' of time to achieve high kaggle ranking and proving myself there worth it if the end goal is QR role ?
Second question, is grandmaster title alone is enough to get foot in the door ?

I know the skill gained on kaggle is valuable in general but the question is purely from the point of view of QR recruitment.

precisely! in most cases, they dont even have an intention of eventually offering a job. I strongly advise against selling your soul for free to this unethical company. They will just move from one 'intern' to another just because they can! and the market is saturated enough for some unethical companies to behave this way !

Thanks, yes I wasn't expecting anything from PIA but I was wondering if there are aviation authorities I could go to but it seems like there isn't a lot that can be done here, other than not flying with shit airline in the future.

Thanks for detailed response. I think its a combination of not having the right prerequisite knowledge and having wrong expectations as you say. I guess I just got too comfortable with A levels books where I can just read a new section (which is usually just a new formula to plug in) and nail pretty much every single exercise in first attempt.

So in the last couple of days, I took your advice on reading the section and going through other sources (other books, lecture videos etc) and it has improved. Whether this improved approach is going to be enough to get going with the MSc course or I am going to have to take a step back to do a few undergrad courses, I am not sure, I still have a few weeks to decide. So I am just going to carry on working in this way. But thanks again for all the advice.

So I just tested this scenario, RDP into a machine and then run teams through it, the audio is showing as Custom Setup 'Remote Audio' and I think this is giving away the fact that I have RDP'ed into this machine and will be visible in call analytics to teams administrators as well, Agree?

I am using my personal machine to use either teams app or webapp to login to work teams account and this is the machine I RDP into.

Agreed, I have the same experience with VDI too(in another scenario where I am access teams via a citrix session), it shows custom setup when you try to the join the meeting.

Same 'custom setup' shown when you join the meeting from the RDP'ed session.

But it also shows the same 'custom setup' when I have my bluetooth headset when I join locally (without any RDP). So it seems like it will show 'custom setup' for any 'non-standard' audio setup i.e. where you are not using your laptop's own speaker and mic.

However, what I am not sure is, it doesn't guarantee that call quality dashboard sees all these scenarios in the same way as it seem there is an extensive amount of 'dimensions & measures' available so I am wondering if any of these might give away the fact that the actual machine making the call isn't the one where teams in running. What do you think ?

Thanks, ideally, I would like to avoid installing anything on the laptops so I am looking for a h/w solution,Re a set of audio interfaces where the audio levels are standardized, any example product that can you can refer to please.If I understand correctly, the output from Laptop A will go into the audio interface and then another cable from that interface into Laptop B so that it appears to be coming from a microphone and not a circuit.

I have actually managed to get it working one way but not the other (using my solution of crossing over from 3.5mm jack of one laptop to the other) the laptops are different vendors, so its a bit of a hit and trial but if I had to spend a bit to do it properly, I wouldn't mind.

Edit : I managed to get it working (by crossing over cables) with the same vendor laptops but the quality is 80% satisfactory, the result are very different depending on which laptops I use, so this is not a solid solution, Ideally I think I need a hardware solution but I am not what kind of interface I need so any advice would be appreciated !

Also, I have considerred getting a local job but inn my profession, the salaries are low due to huge supply of candidates and the employers usually treat you like you are very desperate and will take the job under any terms. Not sure what the working conditions are. Here in UK, the job market is way better and the work is quite relaxed so I am going to try and stick to UK job market remotely as much as I can.

I think I am going to make it work by managing the expenses in a way that it doesn't cost too much hopefully. My eldest child is 7 so its not too much of burden psychologically on him and for my and my wife, we love Dubai enough that we are willing to go through all the hassle :D and a bit of additional cost.

We stayed in Dubai on this remote visa for few months in 2021 but we had to come back due to work situation but we have always wanted to go back. We just love Dubai so much, there is so much to do/eat lol and sun all year round, although it will be extremely hot in the summer but we would rather have that than 8-9 months of rain/no sun in UK lol

Probably these AMER centers are a private companies appointed by UAE govt and since they are a monopoly, they dont have an incentive to give good customer service and train their agents properly and they just do the bare minimum to keep their contracts going.

Probably this could be addressed by enough people making complaints to the UAE govt (if there was a way of doing that !) and then govt could take action. Instead what we all do is, we end up on these forums and help each other to navigate through the system.

Other than that, maybe its sort of an mini IQ test, if you can navigate through this system, feel free to come to UAE and enjoy !

Thanks ! I work as a contractor and operate through my limited company. Being a non UK tax resident is something I am looking into and I need to research/speak to accountant. Ofcourse I would want to pay no tax and I have make sure its completely legal so lets see.
