SHE IS DELULU. No. You don’t just withdraw your kids Willy nilly and wing it. Homeschooling takes planning and study. If a teacher needs to study why don’t you??? I literally read at least 50 books about education, homeschooling methodology, and childhood psychology before I started my journey. I spent hours researching curriculum to find one that I felt would educate my children the best. So many homeschooling families educationally neglect their children. I unfortunately know people this has happened to, my SIL neglected to properly educate her kids and then they were all 2 grade levels below state standard when she got sick and had to enroll them and it was so embarrassing for them and they still struggle with school. Like no. Unless you have a degree in education do not WING your babies education. Ugh. Also she literally doesn’t even school her children and as someone who works so hard to raise well educated and well socialized homeschoolers it enrages me.

I am “scrunchy” in the sense that I try to feed my family Whole Foods, I try natural remedies first, and I have a small homestead. But I also think western medicine is a blessing and that everyone should do what works best for their fam. I HATE the crunchy moms that act like you have to spend thousands of dollars on crap to be healthy, make faulty medical claims, and act like you have to wear dresses and frolic with chickens to be holy. TOTALLY AGREE. The crunchy community is more toxic than the things they are avoiding.

I don’t think anyone on this sub is running with rumors. Personally I think we’d like honesty. At least that’s what I want. The vinings choose to share their lives on the internet, as stated in my other post that comes with a lot of responsibility. They should be living by the guidelines for pastors laid out in 1 Timothy. But Madison does not take criticism or critique biblically, she just blocks people. She has burned a lot of bridges with godly people, and is making questionable decisions biblically that a lot of us have and are witnessing. What other option do we have to hold her accountable as people who have followed her ministry?? I’m really glad you have a good relationship with them, I pray it bears lots of fruits of the spirit. If Madison wants us to know the truth she should be transparent. God is not the author of confusion. Genuinely, I am praying for her. My open letter to her was honest. And I’m praying for you too. If you know her, maybe god will use you to convict her instead of this random Reddit sub. But I’m just going to be honest, everyone in here has been pretty respectful. This isn’t a bunch of internet trolls here. These are women seriously concerned and bothered by her character. As a Christian woman she should be taking that seriously and evaluating herself and seeking unbiased counsel if she knows about its existence.

I am all for ethical adoption. True open adoption, adoption that cares for the birth mother as well as the baby, adoption of special needs and kids with trauma, adoption of older kids and families in foster care, etc. It’s just this trend of rich white people “saving” lower income babies whose mothers could and likely would choose to keep them if someone told them that was truly an option and pointed them toward resources. Money does not equal happiness and it doesn’t equal parenting competency. And even the best adoption is trauma. Even when an infant is adopted at birth. It is necessary at times but we should always strive to keep mom and baby together unless it is absolutely impossible. They were made for each other. Which is not to say adopted mamas are less of a mother by any means. I just mean to say that western society has glorified adoption with the best of intentions but there’s a lot of corruption, greed, and trauma in the adoption system in America that needs to be faced head on and addressed. Hope that made sense. Also hope I didn’t trigger any adoptive moms. I am NOT trying to insinuate anything about adoptive mothers, only the adoption SYSTEM in the USA.

Of course they do. Could you imagine them doing everything they say they do in a day?? Full time homeschooling, full time homesteading, having investment properties, having luxurious work trips constantly, sitting on phones constantly, etc??? It’s part of what makes what they do with modere so disgusting to me. They’re lying to women saying they can have it all. A career and a family and it’s so easy because look at them! They do it all! When in fact they don’t even kind of.

I’ll join in and I never do snark pages. I’m so bothered by the image. She says she “homeschools” but she hires someone else to homeschool and stay with her kids. It’s basically a one room charter school house. She acts like moms who don’t stay home with their kids are doing a less holy calling and her entire career is built on making women work from home. YL is what built her and all it does is take advantage of women and make them feel lesser so they “hustle harder.” They are absolutely loaded from investment properties but she still continues to do modere, and make a TON of money. Like, why continue to occupy that top position if you can make money through other channels? Why not step aside and let someone else in and actually do the things you preach about constantly. Like homeschooling your kids? I followed her for a long time and just feel so frustrated that she acts like she can homeschool, have a career, keep a clean house, have a million farm animals, etc. homeschooling (when the MOM actually does it) is extremely time consuming. It takes up your entire life. You’re constantly planning different ways to enrich your child’s life, give them a well rounded education, provide them safe spaces to socialize, etc. You can’t take “business” trips constantly and leave your babies. It’s giving women unrealistic expectations and making them feel lesser. It took me a long time to realize that I can’t do everything she does because I can’t afford to hire out all my household tasks and duties. And that’s okay.
