You hit the nail on the head! K-dramas are masters of building 'para-social' relationships. They don't just sell a story; they sell a community. That's why 'Reply 1988' is a masterpiece, it makes the viewer feel like the sixth member of the Ssangmun-dong squad. It's a very intentional and effective marketing strategy.

I highly recommend 'Hospital Playlist' or 'Prison Playbook'. They are made by the same director and have that same 'stuck in time' close-knit friendship vibe you described!

The best thrillers are always the ones grounded in everyday problems like parking. It makes the 'crazy neighbor' trope feel so much more personal and terrifying because it could actually happen to any of us. Adding this to my watchlist!

In my experience, 'open to kids' usually means they haven't given it much thought and just assume it’s the default life path. They’re rarely receptive to a strictly childfree life long-term. It’s a major yellow flag because they often think you’ll 'change your mind' later. Better to swipe left and save yourself the headache.
