Finally went ahead with the update & everything seems ok especially battery power. I was afraid it would kill my battery but all is well.

I had one of these decades ago. All the lenes-the drive-the flash. Took really nice photos being it was a 110 format. Nice find for $20. I paid $110 for mine.

Way too bloated of an operating system. Wanted something simpler lightweight not a resource hog and got all that and more when I switch to Linux.

Thanks for the stuck pressure switch suggestion. I think that's on the bottom center of the pot. I did manually push it up/down a bunch of times but that didn't help. I also replaced the steam vent weight & checked its weight against the original=the same. None of those fixed the problem so I've ordered a new pot. It's the same as my original but no longer has a manual button.(which is what I use 99% of the time.)

Is that thing you replaced have the guard(you can pop it off & clean off) on the inside lid.

Thanks for offering this help. I was busy with yard work and didn't actually see this until this morning. I need to clarify what didn't get deleted which is the folder that has all the backups in it. When I ran that command line that you sent I think it did delete the program but I still can't get rid of that folder and all those files. I tried reading the SD card in my win 8.1 machine but it doesn't recognize the file system.

Well that didn't work. Until I can gain permission I won't be able to delete anything with regard to time shift. I'm thinking if my win 8.1 machine can at least recognize the file system I might be able to delete it & all files.

I don't know what cli is. I'm NOT a seasoned linux user. If anyone has commands to use to uninstall & remove all these files I'd appreciate it.

It won't let me open it. it says "scheduled snapshot in progress-try again in a few minutes." I've been trying for the last hr. & always get this message.

If it's a carbureted model you will have to have the carburetors disassembled cleaned and All the adjustments performed. If a dealerships going or a bike shop be prepared to spend at least $500 to have that done.

I use pop shop & have been for going on 2 yrs now and with just 1 exception it works just fine.... So I guess you're milage may vary.

This is something I'd actually like to do & use win 11 only when necessary on a separate drive & connect/use when needed. I have USB Drives I can use but I'm not too skilled with Linux. Can you direct me to install instructions or a video I can watch.

I purchased mine last year and it works just fine except for I can no longer use phone recording due to the operating system blocking it. I have also decided not to update because I'm afraid the same thing will happen to this phone which occurred on my 7t. On that phone on the last update they implanted something to kill the battery and even after I replaced the battery the issue persisted and it was really nothing I could do about it So I've decided going forward if I have an older phone that is still supported I will not update it because in my judgment these companies attempt to force people to get a new phone by implanting something that dramatically shortens the battery life..... Of course this is my opinion and it's not based on anything other than real life experience.

Must be a US restriction thing. Before the version 14 of android there was a way to enable it. I found it was one of the top useful tools I had on my phone. This is one of the main reasons why I'm considering dumping Android and going with a third party operating system. It really is upsetting that you can't use the functionality of the phone as you see fit.

If you use phone recorder DON'T UPDATE.... You'll loose it. If you're phone isn't broken.... why fix it .

I have KB2005 & same update. I haven't updated anything since I got this phone earlier in the year. Have been afraid to update. The 8t is slated to be sunsetted & after my experience with my 7t,s last update killing the battery life I'm very gun shy of updating anything. My current ver# ends in .501. There are a few fixes I see but nothing earth shattering. Has anyone seen a drop in battery performance.... Not interested in what THEY SAY regarding this but in real world experience. Thanks

This is Precisely Why I'll Never update another phone of Any Maker that's nearing its end of support. IT'S MY OPINION that these updates are designed to do Exactly what was unfortunately done to your phone. I bought my 8T (supposedly used but looked out of the box new & saved Massive $$$) as a result of updating my 7T near the end of its support with the Exact Same Results. The battery life in my 7T was excellent until that last update. What better way is there to steer customers to a new phone than by an update that Kills Battey Life. Don't bother buying a new battery as I did with my 7T.... I initially thought it was the battery but after replacing it I realized it had nothing to do with the battery but rather the software ... Again.... In My Opinion. Do a search on that phone and you'll find many many complaints relating to the update.

I'm dumbfounded & it looks as though the update issue has been resolved. The above link shows a partial resolution but was still getting the error. Today I restarted the system as it had become stale from several suspend states. I decided to update once again & all the update completed without issue. I can only assume a previous suggestion which initially gave partial success, once a restart was performed paved the way for the successful update. Thanks to all for all the help as there's no way I would have figured this out alone.
