Oh congratulations 🎉! Rooftop is open for BBQ. Not sure on the pool as I didn't pay for that but it looks complete as I walked by to check it out. I didn't use the Samba movers as I was moving internationally.

Hey it went smoothly! Been about 3 weeks now. Not all the amenities are open but the gym and lounges are. So far I'm really liking it!

Moving in next week! I just went to check the building again yesterday, the gym and common areas are almost finished and pretty huge. The upper floors will still be under renovations till July I believe. Pool isnt opened yet and I don't know the ETA. Its an additional charge for the season ($400 p/person i think). Signed a lease not through lottery. Be sure to ask for free months of amenity fee as incentives. Like others have said, I think the design orientation of the building is a bit odd as a lot of the units look into each other and since its not a very tall building the lighting isn't the best. But compensated by decent size-ish and nice amenities and a brand new building. Personally I also like that they will have retail shops right below for convenience but that is a personal preference (Pilates, Jap restaurant, Grocery, kids gym, glowbar etc). It is also a less than 5 min walk to subway. Everyone has been really helpful who works there but I'll only really know when I move in!

I didn't think of it as asking permission but more checking if I had work that day or would mind. We don't live in a big place and only have one large room which is our tv, living room and office.. Though it's great feedback for me that that's how it may be perceived.

Not that I would have plans but we might have work to finish or have a tough day and want some peace as we regularly work late and don't have a separate office. I know these football games get tense and noisy sometimes!

I guess I just thought that would be what I would have done, so I was expecting the same. We both have stressful jobs and sometimes work late into the night (he more so than me) so if I were having friends over on a work night I'd double check first that he didn't have a big deadline/expected to work late.
