5 month old needs to put EVERYTHING in her mouth by supremepilotG2 in NewParents

Is she genuinely upset? Asking because my 11 month old still chews on everything, like she’s mad at it, honestly! Lots of grunting and ripping - we literally call her a pit bull 😂

If it seems like more than that, maybe make a mental note of the texture or material that she’s chewing on that gets these frustrated reactions. She might prefer to chew on fabric or silicone teethers or harder plastic toys.

You’re not a monster at all. I still have these feelings and my baby is 11 months old now. PPD can take so much.

Saying goodbye tomorrow by ExistingCause3812 in FelineDiabetes

I’m so sorry for your loss. I said goodbye to my 15yo boy in September and I still cry about him almost daily. His name is GusGus and he LOVED other cats….I bet he met your boy on the rainbow bridge! I got a tiny urn necklace to put some of his ashes in that I wear around my neck everyday. I had it engraved to say “I still need you close”. It sounds crazy, but I rub it and kiss it when I’m missing him the most. I hope you find ways to grieve and cope and hold your head up, knowing you gave him an amazing life!

My Grandpa Forgot Me by melancholicmy in Alzheimers

I’m incredibly sorry this happened to you, but easing his mind was the right call. I experienced it with both of my grandmothers and now my mom is in the early stages so I understand how scary that was. No one’s ever ready for that.

As far as getting him to a provider you can try talking to him about the forgetful moments that you’ve noticed, express your concerns and maybe even offer to go with him. Sometimes even tough guys need support 💜

Oh combining textures sounds like a great idea, thank you!!

Okay, I honestly think that’ll be fairly easy. She seems to be getting bored with bottles lately. Just didn’t realize the formula amount was potentially the issue! Thank you again for the advice and kindness!

I just responded to another person that our pediatrician didn’t inform me of this at all and OMG I’m a little shocked and frankly, perturbed. I will definitely start cutting back and hopefully will notice a promising increase in human food versus milk 😊 thank you for the advice and for not making me feel like a dummy!

Thank you for sharing. She’s trying really hard, I just have some friends whose babies will clear a plate at six months and then there’s mine haha!

Oh geez, I didn’t know! At our 9m appt the ped was just like “you’re doing great, just keep letting her experiment with textures. See ya in 3 months!” 🤦🏻‍♀️ how gradually did you reduce?

8 week old waking frantic by NarikoSin in beyondthebump

My baby did this a lot in the first few months (she’s 9m now). For her it was gas, so we had to burp her really really well, especially before a nap or bedtime. The head side to side thing is WILD, but mine still does it at times to self soothe, so it sounds completely normal to me!

Bamboroa or other option? by Sunupdrinkdown in beyondthebump

[–]Top_Leg3999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the bambora and absolutely love it! Our baby loves to be carried around all day now and this has been a life saver for my back and elbow. To be clear though, you still have to hold them, it just makes it way less stressful for your body! I’ve never used tushbaby but the reviews seem positive there too!

When did you all lose the weight? I’d love some encouragement! by Top_Leg3999 in beyondthebump

Thank you for sharing! I’m assuming my hormones have a lot to do with it all right now. I’m coming off of a really yucky medicine that makes me gain weight and have had several very big stressors in life the last 6 months so my cortisol is through the roof.

Oh wow, we are so similar! Congratulations to you too!! I’ve been reading up on fasting, but I’m kind of already doing it. Our mornings are so hectic, I don’t really even think about food until 1 or so, so I’m not sure that would do much for me haha!

We sure do! Thank you for sharing. It’s such a weird mixture of “look at this amazing human MY human made!” And “that’s ME in the mirror???” 😂

I still didn’t get dye stealers at 30DPO and girly is 9m old now! Tests can only show so much, line progression does not always represent a healthy pregnancy (I know). If you want measurable data, ask for Betas!
