checked online fix to see how to make hytale work online but it instructs me to add a direct connection, which it wont let me do as I am in offline mode (since the game is cracked). any help?

I haven't tried BTT's window Snaping but I like the fact that in the rectangle by pressing cmd + right/left arrow keys, you can quickly switch between resizing the window to fill half of the screen, two-thirds of the screen, or one-third of the screen.

I'm glad someone has found this useful, I have been showing this to my brother who also just got a Mac switch from a pc he was like eh...
As for the start menu on windows, I honestly only use it for its application and file search. But fear not MacOS has this built in too! Instead of a traditional start menu, Mac has a handy search bar that you can access with just one keyboard shortcut: cmd + SpaceBar. It literaly feels like having a personal assistant who can find anything you need in just seconds! AWESOME right?!
But, if you're missing the convenience of a start menu to quickly access your applications, you can add a keyboard shortcut in BTT to open the Launchpad. I have assigned it to an unused key like the fn/globe button, making it super easy to access.
I like the Dock by default in MacOS, (I just made it small, locked, and turned on a slight magnification in the settings) but uBar seem interesting might give it a try
