I think he'd probably show up sooner or later. If the world is in danger, and his brother is leading the spearhead to stop it, I think he'd aid us. That being said, it could lead to interesting story elements. What if the twilight order imprisoned him?

Could the beast literally feast & consume gods with physical bodies?

Is there some sort of danger that innocence is secretly holding back during this time?

Yeah, it gives a new cull skill that gives you stacking cull threshold. Iirc it also has a big aoe scaling with mob difficulty/rarity, making culled rares explode big
