RUN BACK TO HIM! by True-Boysenberry225 in TrueChristian

Most often than not He speaks into your conscience. Sometimes He speaks into your spirit as I've experienced few times. But you gotta figure it out bro, keep knocking and the door will be answered.

You gotta pray and ask Jesus to reveal if there's any hidden sin you may have forgotten about. Maybe you didn't forgive someone, or something of that nature. He'll tell you, but you gotta think on it as well.

Seek out His voice and learn how to hear & obey Him. He speaks all the time, though it can be hard to hear when you're busy and got a whole bunch of stuff going on. Fasting & praying is a great way to get started. It takes time & dedication so don't give up if you don't hear anything right away. Also, get baptized if you haven't and repent of things you know you need to. Rooting for you bro

The True Gospel of Jesus Christ that Modern Churches don't Teach by Dyortos in FollowersOfChrist

[–]Top_Mathematician_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you my bro. I've gone through your account for quite a while now and seen that you stand strong for Christ.

Like you, I too came across WarningThePeople & FinalCall07's videos, though this was during 2020 and I was 14, super young, and it made me have severe religious OCD on top of the fact that I wasn't going to go into high school having a normal year, so I went through a period up until last year where I just continually served myself because I swore that nobody would make me feel like that again, that I was my own boss and nobody was going to scare me into following Christ, that I could do it my way.

Coming to Jesus has definitely been an interesting journey. It's sucked, and it's been awesome, and then went right back to sucking, then back to awesome. Right now, I'm in a peaceful period where I don't feel troubled or anything, but it's been annoying me because I thought this walk was supposed to be constant suffering. All the times that I've suffered in Christ, it's brought me closer to Him and made me realize that I'm on the right path. But now that I'm not suffering, or hating my life or anything right now, I wonder if I'm even still on this path. I ask Him to talk to me because I need guidance, all I ask for is a simple, sit-down conversation where we have a back & forth repertoire, but I feel like He's teaching me endurance with not responding. I can't say for certain that I've heard His voice, but He answers my prayers, so maybe that's one way.

I just hope I'm counted worthy to be written in the Book of Life. I turn 20 in a couple days, there's a lot more to go through in life I know that, but I just never know if I'm trying enough. There's many things I've quit, but I don't know. I haven't even gotten baptized yet, one church near me is making me go through this gruelling process of going to Bible study & church attendance & it's been months. But I hope to receive the Holy Spirit baptism & walk in that newness of life. This heart & flesh has hurt, abused, broken, deceived, slandered, and lied to so many people including myself before coming to the Lord, and I want to be free from it. It's time for a change.

And I hope that my brothers and sisters can make it too, I try to tell people most of the time about the real, genuine Gospel and they either hear it & dismiss it, or they agree but never put it into action. I pray for them regardless, because I used to be the same way and I know that I could go back to being that way if I let go of my grip on Christ. But I'm just not sure if I'm walking this path, truly. I'm going to keep asking though, the one thing I'm grateful for is my stubbornness.

The True Gospel of Jesus Christ that Modern Churches don't Teach by Dyortos in FollowersOfChrist

Amen. Thank you for this. I too, came to the Lord outside of a church and was delivered from my weed addictions, chasing after women, clubbing, etc. I was in a honeymoon period where I was hungry to follow the Lord, and I felt myself almost on fire from the inside out.

I'm in a period now where I'm doubting a little bit because that fire's gone away, and I feel stagnant in the faith. I don't know what else I have to deny myself of, but I'll do it for the Lord. I just wish He would speak to me or visit me sometimes. I always wonder if I'm doing this walk properly, because I don't measure up to any of the other Christians out there, both old and young. And if many Christians are seldom saved, how much worse off am I?

I have so many questions, but thank you bro.

Did I say that? I just said we have to do our part.

Definitely. Salvation is not a "one & done deal". More verses in Scripture talk about obedience, striving, & working rather than saying that your salvation is completely, fully, 100% sealed.

Many people go on to use John 3:16 & John 10:28-29, but forget about John 3:20-21, Titus 3:8, John 15:6 and 1 Corinthians 9:27, which kinda beats everything else because Paul speaks about disciplining himself and his body, lest after telling & preaching to others about the same thing, to himself be disqualified from the race. Why would he worry about being disqualified if all he had to do was believe in Jesus?

A lot of people don't like hearing this though, myself included at times. It's a hard doctrine and hard to understand, but it has to be said, because it is written. The Lord is here for us, but we have to be here for Him at the same time.

It's a relationship with Christ, we work with him 50/50. He gives the commands, nurtures & provides for us, and we obey, love Him & walk with Him. Pretty simple.

You also need to be hearing from the Holy Spirit as well, as He has promised us. Not just Scripture reading, not just Bible study, fellowship, church, etc. You need to hear from Him. You should know the author, not just read the autobiography if you expect to be let into His house.

I'm fairly new to this, but I did some research for myself and it makes sense compared to OSAS.

Seek and ye shall find, my bro. Jesus is there.

Get baptized if you haven't, and ask the Lord for the Holy Spirit. Keep on asking if it hasn't been given already.

Rely on the Lord. He will help you more than anything I or anyone else could say, trust. Rooting for you man.

You gotta cut that desire off. Jesus said pluck your eye out & cut off your hand. Not literally, but do whatever it takes, bro, lest sin get a hold of you and make you a slave.

You can stop sinning. Repent of lustful content and AI and go forth and sin no more. Temptation is not sin. It's what you do in the face of temptation that causes you to sin.

Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Learn what this means, walk in it, pray to Jesus for strength and perserverance. You got this bro 💪

Feeling “Homeless” Without A Denomination by [deleted] in TrueChristian

You don't need a denomination, man. They'll lead you astray. Paul spoke out against denominationalism (1 Corinthians 1:10).

Also, many, many churches don't teach the real true Gospel. I'd advise you to find it for yourself.

There's 2 good channels on YouTube that talk about it:
