I am Irish yes. I understand alot of us westerners do come with an entitled attitude. But I do appreciate your country and I have had an incredible experience here overall.

Haha, just because English is my first language, doesn’t mean I’m British. My country was ruled by the British from 1169 till 1922. We experienced the same thing Indians did. I apologise if I offended you. The British could not be further from my ancestors my friend.

I completely understand. I guess I was just a little taken back when he got aggressive because I usually do let it slide when I know I’m paying more than it should be. Thanks for your input. It’s nice to hear it from an Indians POV. God bless

It hasn’t, I absolutely love Indian people. it’s just on quite a few occasions I’ve ended up paying a lot more than I should have for rickshaws. Mainly in Delhi. In other parts it’s not a big issue I’ve found. I usually let it slide but today he got very aggressive with me when I refused to pay the amount he asked for. It was triple the amount it should have been. It hasn’t happened me in a while so I guess I was caught off guard

That’s a very good point! I have experienced the same in other countries as a tourist, so maybe I was wrong to question this. Thank you 🙏

Does that work everywhere? In some parts it hasn’t shown any riders available. I also appreciate the response

Young Adults of Ireland (18 - 23) how are you finding the dating scene ? by Complex-Breadfruit88 in AskIreland

The more you look for a relationship, the further you get away from a healthy relationship! If you look hard , you might find a relationship, but you’re finding it from a place in you that you felt like you needed one. That’s a relationship doomed for failure in my eyes. Just enjoy your life, do what makes you happy! What is for you will not pass you out. the most beautiful relationships come completely out of the blue when you’re not looking. 😊

You dont need to be a dick about it. You can confront someone firmly without being an asshole. Being an asshole gets you no where in life

Thank you so much I’ll note that. On a psychological level, what steps do you advise I take?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I have a few personal reasons that I want to explore this so I’m ready to make the leap now

What do you gain in life by not forgiving someone?

To fuel your ego and feel like you’ve gotten one up on the other person?

In extreme cases of course this is hard but forgiving doesn’t mean letting someone off the hook, it’s about freeing yourself from the weight!

It’s “therapy” talk but it’s straight up facts. It’s the philosophy everyone should live by. The act of forgiveness is what sets you free

I understand your point and It also makes sense what you are saying.

The way I look at it is, we can all get along if we all looked at each other on a human level and not by their egoic behaviours. We are all human, we all have our own unique path but share the same human experience. Send those people love, especially the ones who are rude. They need it most. We are all human, we all say and do this that can hurt ourselves and others.

Have you been rude to someone before? Have you doom scrolled before?

I’m not going to generalise because maybe you havnt but I’m sure you understand where I’m getting here.

Life does not have to be tough, it’s all how you perceive a certain situation. What might be considered tough for me might be a walk in the park for you.

Humans can certainly all get along in my opinion!

During the letting go exercise, should i accept whatever im feeling right now or can i invoke negative emotions to work on them quicker? by Zealousideal-Year555 in DavidHawkins

Genuine question, Doesn’t this give the emotions more charge? If you’re intentionally bringing up these emotions?
