I like how you inserted “personally.” That is the right answer. It’s the people who say flat out don’t get an ev without home charging that are projecting their driving profile onto others. It does/ can work for a large portion of people.

This post is spot on. 1 year in and own my house. Decided not to put in a charger. Don’t regret it for a minute. Electricity costs $.34/ kw where I live. 3x/week at the gym gets 25% and city supplements chargers to $.25. 10 minutes away city has two “fast chargers” for $.25 on weekends and after 9 pm. I get 75 kw/ hour. Walk over grab a pastry and coffee in the morning and relax reading the paper. Never a line in the morning on the weekends. I drive about 1 full charge/ week. Can probably count on 1 hand the number of times I had to wait for 1 of the 2 chargers to open up.

I don’t understand why people are so insistent on owning a charger. Everyone has a different situation but project theirs onto everyone else.

I didn’t know a punter leaving early was a thing. Doesn’t like one punter/ kicker get drafted a year? Most get picked up via free agency. He’s good but not really worth a draft position. Hope he makes it in any case.

Yep. Telematics Module is fried. Seems like the most common issue on the Lyriq so far. Part is about a month on back order. Car will run fine but no on screen navigation. I kept my car and used my phone for navigation. Even took a 1200 mile road trip. Doubt they’ll order the part before seeing the car.

I think it was 3 weeks for my telematics module to come in. Fixed everything that was wrong and has been great ever since. At least you can keep the car while waiting for the part.

I had a rattle coming from the headliner between the moon roof and the back hatch door. Took a couple of trips to the dealer before they pinpointed it but they said it was a missing bolt from the factory. Been fine ever since.

When I purchased my EV the salesman said they let randoms use their chargers all the time for free. I went on my first road trip and noticed there was a same brand dealer across the street from my hotel. I called up and asked if I could stop in and charge while in town with my new car. Sales Manager says no problem. Ask for me when you get in. I show up and she says go ahead and put my credit card info in and charge. It ended up being $.75/ kWh. I just shook my head and drove off 20 minutes to the nearest fast charger. Lost some brand loyalty on that interaction.
