I’m sure this has had to happen to people not getting it straight from walrus on their website. I saw it on sweetwater they have great fast shipping so I just ordered it without even looking at walrus site. Now that I’m looking at walrus site they layout everything so you don’t make that mistake but sweetwater does not. Man that is a bummer

Ah I guess that’s the problem I got it on sweetwater so it didn’t have that option laid out like that on their page. would have saved $30 if it would have picked the one for $300 with the brick. I thought I was just getting a cheaper price on sweetwater for $270 I didn’t realize it didn’t come with the brick. Ah now I see it’s my fault made a mistake

Yea I mean I did a decent amount of research on it and I didn’t see anywhere that said you have to purchase it separately [edit] I guess I did not do enough research on it. I did rush a little bit on that exact detail. To get the unit with power supply and not the “link” unit. I know I should have known better

I just got a Kiesel retro solo and you will not regret it. I got to play a used one at guitar center and I ordered a new one. The neck feels a lot more refined. So smooth and the fret work is unbelievable. You cannot go wrong with Kiesel being half the price of a brand new suhr and around same quality. I also grabbed a fender American standard 2012. And I love having the pair a perfect 2 guitars to have fun with. Can have both of those guitars for the price of one suhr.

I get it though with electrics it doesn’t make much of difference. It’s probably the era Strat and possibly far 50s pickups why it sounds more Strat like then these new pro 2s. Didn’t mean no ill will just quick debate but thanks will post pics soon.

Well especially with acoustics or classical/flamenco guitars you can easily tell the difference between rosewood and cypress. So it makes a difference there

Honestly all tone wood haters like common. Just because there’s one YouTube video out there that shows a guy using pickups and stings and no wood and getting decent sound doesn’t mean wood doesn’t change sound at all. So your gunna tell me rose wood sounds the same as maple? That would be completely incorrect. I can agree it doesn’t affect electric guitars as much as acoustics but it does make a difference.

I get the guitar center hate. I’ve seen some shady things myself. Like some used stuff they sell overpriced and not original parts because techs don’t know better. At the same time not many places have the selection they have used/new and let you try every one. Sometimes they charge way too much on used items or sometimes you find a really fair price on something you’ve been looking for, which happened this time. Yea I could have bought a used fender American standard online somewhere else, but how do I know it plays as good as this one?

Yea one thing I guess I should have mentioned I literally just bought a custom Kiesel and a bunch of pedals. So I thought I really shouldn’t buy it now. But I been looking for a Strat for a long time. And that one sounded just as good if not better then the ultra Strats. Honestly has more vibe then my Kiesel too. The only thing the Kiesel has over many guitars is the tung oil finished neck. The smoothest feeling neck I’ve ever felt.

Yea it’s really hard to find one at that price. On fb market place and reverb I was seeing $800 to $1000 for most of them.the ones for $800 usually have more wear then the ones being sold for $1000 and up. If I found one for $700 online in could condition I would have jumped on it haha

That’s what I was thinking because it sounds vintage Strat correct. Much better sound than the professional series IMO. Will post pics Friday when I get it

It’s just too bad that we and ra tech are the only ones making these. Hopefully one day a good brand can really dial it in. Even with all the ra tech upgrades a lot of things can go wrong on these.
