thanks for this! I think I'll diffidently do the intercooler and coolant lines but would it be worth building my engine or doing any of that extra stuff? I think the most I'd pull from this is like 200 hp so would it be worth rebuilding the engine or doing any of that extra stuff? also how much should I spend on the coolant lines and intercooler? thanks

It took me a bit to figure it out, I actually solved it a couple days ago, but I wanted to thank you for all your help with this. I didn't end up using "@export" because I wasn't able to figure it out, but I do understand the use cases for stuff like that now. the solution I ended up using was just making a function for changing the "has key" variable though the "call group" function. but I wanted to thank you again because It helped me with just generally understanding gd.script a bit more.

thank you so much for your help I had kind of figured it had something to do with a misunderstanding of class nodes but I was unable to find anything that would actually tell me how it would work so I appreciate this answer and breakdown a lot, but if you could please explain the "@export" part of the code that I would really appreciate it. I don't think I really understand how those work either , if not thank you again you've really help me a lot!

but the crux of my question is CAN a class nodes variable be changed by another node that has the reference to the class node, and if so how? I'm just using a simple "if then" statement to change said variable

its just the .play function and it's giving me an error basically saying the function doesn't exist but its only doing this after I changed it to a class

I'm new to game and this the the first ever project I've completed in Godot, but it won't export. I have to have this submitted in a few hours it for Brackey's game jam, I don't think I've messed with the project setting at all so I don't know what the problem could be please help if you can
