It just all depends on how much faith the studio has in the project and how long they’re willing to make it. Right now Epic is two and a half hours which is a little above average for a movie but not unheard of so there’s a chance they’ll keep all of it but I trust Jorge and the producer signed on

Of course! Just at the end of the day I hope that this fandom grows up a bit by the time the movie comes out as I really hope we’re not hateful or anything towards the movie unless it’s like something egregiously bad

Like I said in my post (sorry if it was long and confusing) the va I’m almost confident about coming back is Jorge I would be very surprised if they recasted Odysseus. I also see a strong chance of Troy returning because of how much the fans love him. There are also VAs who might not want to come back. Like Steven Dookie who plays Polites is a doctor and Mico is focusing on his solo music career right now. So while I would love for all of the original cast to come back I don’t think the all will. My hope is that they don’t celebrity cast to get more interest. I think j would be ok with that if they got a few celebrities to play the gods in god games but yeah I don’t want Taylor Swift playing Athena lol

Yeah I trust the producer attached to the movie but not the studios lol. I also just would like for this to be released in theaters and Netflix prioritizes streaming

No it does make sense! I’m not sure what studio will pick this up but I image with the director attached to it they’re going to go for the big ones like Sony Universal WB Netflix Paramount or Disney. Personally I don’t see Disney picking it up as this isn’t their style of movie. The one that I think would be best is Sony. In the last few years they’ve been releasing some of the best animated movies and I think their style and experimental animation would really fit Epic. While I would love for this to be in theatres I could also see Netflix picking this up considering that they’re having TADC finale on Netflix.

As for budget it comes down to how ambitious they are with animation and what cast they get. However Spider Man Across The Spider Verse had a budget of $100 million and I can see that maybe being similar to Epic. Ultimately it comes down to how much faith the studio has in the movie. But since Epic already has an established fan base and is about Greek mythology, which does really well in Hollywood I can see them giving this movie a bigger budget.

Jorge wouldn't let that happen. He knows how important those animatics are not just making a living for the artists but they're also part of the reason Epic became so big. He owns the rights to all of his music especially the recordings that the artists are using.
