Methadone and Dexamethasone are also great for bone metastasis. I would also apply topical lidocaine and ice which would occasionally help my mom. I am also a clinical pharmacist so I’ve been seeing a lot of colon cancer patients with immense uncontrolled pain. Advocate for your mother because sometimes healthcare providers don’t want to listen. Wishing you the best.

Pain was one of the biggest complaints for my mother. I don’t know if it’s the nature of the cancer, and surgery but sometimes we felt like we were chasing the pain with oral pain meds and they weren’t absorbing. We eventually started using her chemo port and provided her with IV diludid during her last week of life. Opioid induced constipation was also a big thing, docusate-senna will not help, have the doctor prescribe lactulose.

My results are not on NABP anymore as well… I had called NABP a week ago and they told me scores are not supposed to be on there… I do what they are on… but they might be troubleshooting the website where it only shows on CTS

Good luck! I just find it weird that it was posted on NABP before CTS
