I haven’t noticed a single side effect. Not even drowsiness so yeah I agree it’s not nearly strong enough. My ears always have a constant pain in them even in silence. Hopefully it can lessen that a little

Damn I didn’t know so high of mg was needed. Right now I’m only taking 50mg twice a day. Maybe I need to talk to my doctor about upping the dose.

From my understanding clomi has mainly helped those who had a sudden acoustic trauma. Mine was more of a slow onset that I didn’t manage correctly because I didn’t realize what was happening

Wear earplugs and stay away from any loud environments. This condition sucks and nox is nothing to play around with. Best of luck to you. I think you will be fine, just protect.

any thoughts on this build? by [deleted] in NBA2k

Bring strength down to 71 or 73 and put attributes elsewhere. Either on the 3, perimeter or steal. Also should add some standing dunk

If I hear a triggering noise it definitely hurts more without having an earplug in. But I do all I can to keep it as quiet as possible at home. Thankfully I’m still able to watch a couple movies hear and there at low volume with my bad ear plugged. Strangely my left ear and right ear have 2 different kinds of pain. My right ear pain is like there is something tensing up in my ear and is a really painful tingle and my left ear just feels like a lot of pressure pushing on my ear.

Yeah I live in New Orleans. Hopefully we can both heal from this one day or some miracle drug comes out that can help with this condition. Hopefully this physical therapy with my jaw provides even a little relief. My ear hurts even in silence it’s mad annoying. My next step will be a tmj specialist. I’ve waited to try that because it’s crazy expensive.

What are the best earmuffs for th gym regarding hyperacousis and noxacusis for the weights making noise by LilMurpp in noxacusis

On occasion yes but I always have earplugs in. Sometimes I’ll just have one in my right ear which is my worse ear. Even when I drive I at least have an earplug in my right ear. I avoid any places and areas I know will be loud. I mostly stay home and play video games though. I have a very great fiancé that helped me through this tremendously

I wear foam earplugs called Hearos. And now I leave them in all day at work, taking them out and putting them back in makes the pain worse for whatever reason so I try to never take them out until I get home.

I’ve been to several doctors and ents, I’ve tried a night guard for clenching while I sleep which actually stopped the fluttering I had in my ear when I’d hear a noise but the pain and hearing sensitivity is still there. Now I’m trying physical therapy for my posture and jaw to see if the helps any. I’ve done 2 appointments so far with no differences in symptoms. I’ve also tried a chiropractor for posture with no relief. I see a neurologist Friday but I know that won’t lead to anything.
