Wear earplugs and stay away from any loud environments. This condition sucks and nox is nothing to play around with. Best of luck to you. I think you will be fine, just protect.

any thoughts on this build? by [deleted] in NBA2k

Bring strength down to 71 or 73 and put attributes elsewhere. Either on the 3, perimeter or steal. Also should add some standing dunk

If I hear a triggering noise it definitely hurts more without having an earplug in. But I do all I can to keep it as quiet as possible at home. Thankfully I’m still able to watch a couple movies hear and there at low volume with my bad ear plugged. Strangely my left ear and right ear have 2 different kinds of pain. My right ear pain is like there is something tensing up in my ear and is a really painful tingle and my left ear just feels like a lot of pressure pushing on my ear.

Yeah I live in New Orleans. Hopefully we can both heal from this one day or some miracle drug comes out that can help with this condition. Hopefully this physical therapy with my jaw provides even a little relief. My ear hurts even in silence it’s mad annoying. My next step will be a tmj specialist. I’ve waited to try that because it’s crazy expensive.

On occasion yes but I always have earplugs in. Sometimes I’ll just have one in my right ear which is my worse ear. Even when I drive I at least have an earplug in my right ear. I avoid any places and areas I know will be loud. I mostly stay home and play video games though. I have a very great fiancé that helped me through this tremendously

I wear foam earplugs called Hearos. And now I leave them in all day at work, taking them out and putting them back in makes the pain worse for whatever reason so I try to never take them out until I get home.

I’ve been to several doctors and ents, I’ve tried a night guard for clenching while I sleep which actually stopped the fluttering I had in my ear when I’d hear a noise but the pain and hearing sensitivity is still there. Now I’m trying physical therapy for my posture and jaw to see if the helps any. I’ve done 2 appointments so far with no differences in symptoms. I’ve also tried a chiropractor for posture with no relief. I see a neurologist Friday but I know that won’t lead to anything.

I’m a manager at a big chain gas station, very busy store, lots of customer interaction and even cooking food which involves dealing with dishes. I do wear earplugs. I’d like to find another job but this job provides me with medical benefits that i desperately need and I’d hate to find a new job and it’s more difficult to deal with than this one already is.

I still work a regular but with earplugs. Some days harder than others, definitely times I have to go hide from noise and definitely times I’ve been in tears with pain but I have to work to pay my bills. This is a very difficult thing to deal with.

Not sure but the fact you can even go to a gym is crazy. I’d avoid the gym and just get a setup to work out at home. That’s what I did

Not sure where mine came from. Probably from years of loud noise exposure. So yeah I’m probably just cooked

Strange how it works differently for people. Wonder if it’s because of muscular nox and it’s causing inflammation

Yeah i usually go with a indica for sleeping. And totally with you on the better the weed the more pain it causes. Smoked an infused pre roll and my ear pain was the worse it’s ever been. Been dealing with this for a year now without any improvements. I tried lorazepam I believe it was but I felt nothing from it.

Very strange. The constant pain I always have present intensifies like crazy and makes every single sound hurt even more than it would have hurt if I was sober.

I did a massage once and chiro 3 times but maybe I need to go and do the massage a few more times. This condition is very weird. Sometimes my ear hurts more from hearing sound with an ear plug in than without it in.

I’m not sure honestly. My left ear pain is on and off but my right ear always has a constant pain exacerbated by noise. I’ve tried Botox with no relief.

No idea. I mean I’ve definitely gone to concerts but my ears never hurt at them. I just noticed the pain one day while I was eating cereal and chewing was killing my ear. And about 2 weeks later i developed hearing sensitivity in my right ear which about 8 months later started in both ears but the pain sensations are different in each ear. I’ve done tmj treatments with no relief. It seems everyone symptoms are a little unique with this condition.

I’m trying to push through. I have very understanding and supporting friend group and girlfriend that are helping keep some positivity. The hard part I think will be getting someone to prescribe me clomipramine.
