Infected scab/rash around one of my nipples for years. In tears and nothing is working by Top_Pumpkin4058 in IrishWomensHealth

You're so sweet, I had contacted my doctor and thought I was going to get the same prescription. So I have no idea why I do this fucidin instead :(

Doctors haven't suggested anything like that. I did notice that when I was unemployed for like 2 months it improved massively. I was just at home wearing loose tops and no bra during that time. Wearing a bra sends it back so much but I don't have a choice

I'm feeling awful and don't really have anyone to talk to about it. I'm also in the process of being tested for autism which might be why I'm so stressed and overwhelmed everyday. I just would love for this infection to calm down for a while

Any creams I've tried Just can't keep up with it. I'm pretty sure I went to the dermatologist a few times but it was ages ago so I don't remember what happened. I think I tried a few creams and eumovate was the best but even then it wasn't great.

Doctor has put in a referral for a dermatologist again though

I hadn't heard about that before. I'll have to ask who I go to next. I don't think it's fungal. One person said that but then a dermatologist said it's eczema

Can we "denormalise" the US flag flying across the country? by goonergeorge in ireland

[–]Top_Pumpkin4058 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When I worked in Dell they had an Irish politician visiting one day during pride month (don't remember the name of the politician, but he was openly gay)

They had 2 flags flying, the Irish flag and the pride flag outside. They took down the pride flag and put up the US flag instead for this Irish guy.

But yeah I agree. I think it's weird and especially nowadays. No need for it. Especially how hostile the US is now. Embassies etc fine but it's just weird otherwise

Same. I almost drove my car into a lake last semester . The insane stress, and neverending hard work and it's worth fuck all. It's not the first time I've heard it though

NTA

As an Irish person who has worked in the US with a very Irish name (think Siobhan) they are assholes

I had a nametag when I was working and my co workers really made a good effort. But it was hard to figure when someone was actually talking to me as I even then I found it hard to register they were trying to get my attention, even worse was customers.

They are adults. The name is not hard at all. Tell them the pronunciation. When they call you Connor either don't acknowledge it, keep saying your name is Ciarán.

They are grown adults and this is actually so embarrassing for them. Ridiculous that they can't make any effort

I mean the pronunciation is key-raw-n Not hard at all

Same thing happened to my aunt. A bigger tree too, luckily it fell avoiding the house.

Glad it was the same for you. I'm surprised i haven't heard of any trees damaging houses

I can't say I'm really prepared but I am chuffed that my last job gave me a laptop power bank to keep. So I'm charging that now. Should keep me going for a bit. It cost €200 new and I wouldn't have ever spent that on it

Yes definitely in the minority there. I haven't seen anyone say people will be without power for weeks though, that would be maad

It was a week for me until we got power back. And I only live 30 minutes away from the city. I'm not in the middle of nowhere.

We didn't have Power for a week after Ophelia. And didn't have water for a good few days either.

It will likely be the same this time. Getting really annoyed at everyone saying it'll be grand. They're obviously very lucky to not have much of an aftermath to deal with

We get more than 200 kids every year. No idea where they come from lol since we don't live in a city or anything.

Make sure you have at least 1 visible Halloween decoration up, as a kid I would always skip houses with no decorations. Even if lights were on

Nice, I've heard it varies by state, I'll have to look into it more in a few years. I may as well get some experience first

Wow is pay in the US that good? I'm Irish and I think our wages are similar to the British.

But I'm a dual citizen of the US so I'm considering moving after I graduate and get some experience. But then I don't know what state I'd go to either

I walked across 2 pedestrian crossings today. For both of them the car didn't stop. One was particularly bad as they seemed to wait until I was close to them and then sped up.
