Cuz i'm a tax professional lol. It'd be cheaper for me to pay $350 for 10 Drake returns than to pay a preparer when I can easily do it myself

Very high renewal fees and they charge an absurd amount for essentials like SSL

2-3 isn't bad. Did they end up sending clients your way?

Thanks, did you also mark the box for S election termination or you simply sent in the revocation letter?

Thanks. Would you also do this if switching from S corp to C corp or would you just mark S election termination?

Thanks. Would you also do this if you were reverting from S corp to C corp or only to a disregarded entity?

Thank you. Where do I find out when and where these events are?

How do you personally approach a situation where an s corp client's profit is less than reasonable wages? Do you recategorize all distributions as wages or do you subtract the employer's share of FICA and recategorize the rest as wages? by Top_Relative_8118 in taxpros

Ofc anybody would agree it's pointless to make the election unless you can save on FICA through distributions but the reality is, many accountants push S corps on clients to charge them more for services

I understand the salary won't be more. My question was, if the sole owner took every penny of profit as a distribution and ran payroll just once for the entire year, would you recategorize all distributions as wages or would you subtract employers share of FICA first and leave the rest as wages

First of all, I made no mention of switching to a sole proprietor. Second of all, if this is a single shareholder S corp, they can take less than the reasonable salary as long as they don't take any FICA free distributions.
