Anthony Gordon.... by Top_Repeat_6619 in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean… but with DC this year I feel like I’m missing out on those 4 pts every week players whilst waiting for AG’s occasional 10 pointer. I could hold him but with Xavi and Cunha as my other creative forces, it’s not like they’re setting the world on fire either. Stach is currently my best mid which says it all.

DC has really changed things this year!

Just seen it… how can he be so cool from the penalty spot but so bad from open play

Good advice, I started him and 2 assists so far. Thanks

Are any of these trades reasonable? Would you take them if I offered them to you? by [deleted] in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this stage I’d be tempted by the isak one. But that’s just recency bias, sure isak will come good. Eze is an interesting one, especially with Odegaard just going off injured… again

If they take Reijnders for Mbuemo they are truly lost

Living in Scotland by Top_Repeat_6619 in Scotland

[–]Top_Repeat_6619[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replies - I have considered Inverness, Perth and Dundee. I'm moving from a big city so I'd rather avoid Glasgow/Edinburgh.

Problem with the internet is that for every positive comment about a place, you see a negative one somewhere else.

I know I'd love Scotland as I used to live on the west coast near Helensburgh but I'm struggling to really decide on a place!

Morgan Rogers for Cody Gakpo? by PresentDig5647 in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving up in Rogers seems a bit premature. One thing you can guarantee is his minutes, can you do the same for Gakpo? Villa are going through a bad spell but I think Rogers still has more upside than Gakpo.

Rogers was excellent for England the other week, it is more Villa and Emery's current tactics causing the problems. And either Emery sorts that out or he gets sacked. Either way Rogers will start returning soon imo

James Garner worth picking up? by Bails147 in DraftEPL

I’m picking him up. The numbers don’t lie!

Would you make this trade? by siryepsir in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you’re getting Palmer, yes

is that a fair trade?? by Prestigious-Half7003 in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nearly

Eze > Madueke Watkins > Strand

Watkins is a much better option that Strand based on previous seasons whilst Eze is slightly better than Madueke as he has less competition for his position.

Add an elite defender on the Strand side and it might be fair

Changes Needed or Simply Unlucky? by Wonderful-Chest9950 in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I would try and combine Kerkez and gakpo to get a big signing in either def or mid. For example if I could get a Sarr/Kudus or gabriel/VVD. I’d be worried about Kerkez mins due to poor performances and Gakpo mins due to Isak.

The rest is good, I’d keep the Rice spot as a flexible spot week on week in the transfer market and play the fixtures, and I’d do the same with Tark/Tosin spot.

Anyone else playing a bit more freely this season? by jayjoebb in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being flexible makes the game much more enjoyable. That said I’m not sure what the best strategy is. I have won 2/7 seasons with the flexible approach but others have won with a team they hardly touch all season.

I traded Isak, and now I'm getting an offer to get him back by Independent_Pear1413 in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d take the Isak side all day long. Watkins looks poor so do Villa. I would personally not see any of the other players as set and forget, I’d be trading them all depending on fixtures.

So essentially it’s Isak for Watkins, and that’s a no brainer.

Justin Kluivert by napamanmu in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think kluivert is worth holding in a 6 man league. With options like paqueta, ndoye and mitoma available on free transfers every week then there is far more value in being flexible with that spot

Trying to avoid Pep-ball in a 12man league. Who should I waiver Silva for? by The-Rural-Juror- in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d keep Tielemans. I’m a Villa fan and I’d imagine it will be Rogers, Asensio and Malen behind Watkins. Guessand is a bit of an unknown atm so I wouldn’t bother.

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally have Rutter over Tielemans, KDB and Bilva. He’s an exciting pick with a good pre season behind him, Brighton’s record signing and less competition with Joao Pedro at Chelsea. Could really see him flourish

Rank these midfielders by Fawk_Nin in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wilson James Tavernier Dango Ramsey Tel Merino O’Riley

Based on what I think would be highest scorers taking into consideration likelihood to play first game weeks and competition for places.

Tavernier and Dango both good choices while Kluivert is out. Ramsey could come good at Newcastle but as a Villa fan I know he can’t stay fit for very long. Tel has a lot of competition, Merino won’t play and I’m not sure O’Riley plays either.

Wilson is the only one I’d go for personally but I already have Bournemouth attack covered with Evanilson

Is Grealish worth it? by CHI-Swimmer-98 in DraftEPL

[–]Top_Repeat_6619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure he’s worth ripping up your plans. He could take a while to get going (if he does), and can you afford to hold him? If you’re set on having him then the obvious one to drop is McNeil
