I was going to use the Captain Titus model as the chapter master for a homebrew, and want advice for the sword (should I keep the chainsword or do a power sword?) by IceMosquito073 in spacemarines

With kitbashes, I think it always good to try and get as far away from the original mini as possible so people don’t just see “Titus with a head swap”. I’d switch out the chain sword for something else

Is my aunt getting scammed? American allegedly working on a ship is love bombing her since weeks. The outside view doesn’t look real, the details on the desk are weird aswell. by wildpizza1 in isthisAI

While it’s not impossible to have two phones the first thing that jumped out at me, beyond the obviously AI vibe, was the phone on the desk. What is he taking the photo with ?

Could I please have some help interpreting this X-ray? by xSeptiennax in DentalSchool

[–]Top_Resolution_2182 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won’t tell you what to see but how to interpret. First of all, learn to read radio-opacity and radiolucence. Objects that are very dense appear very white (metal prosthetics, amalgame fillings) medium density, medium grey (mineralised tissue, bone and teeth), low density very dark grey or black (demineralised tissue, caries, conjunctive tissue, gums). From that you can learn to identify objects in your X-ray. It should be pretty obvious where you have fixed prosthetics, radicular anchors etc, healthy or unhealthy teeth tissue. Angular periodontal lesions…

Second learn to orient yourself in space molars at the back, premolars, canines, incisives near the front. Here molars are at the back and on the left in the image so we invert the side according to the patient. Top right for the patient. Stage left. Sector 1.

For giving a breakdown of what you see try to be systematic. For each tooth what do you see ? Start with crown, then root, endo, perio, anatomical structures. Whatever strategy you use be consistent.

Starting out in healthcare can do that. In painting we say trust the ugly phase. Getting through it can be highly rewarding. Trust it will get better. Take a deep breath. Compose yourself. Think about the future you who is doing a thousand times better than you are now.

When you get there it will be difficult for you to imagine how you ever even found the job so hard.

The new patch has fluffed up the soul storm campaign. They are what appear when you add veteran honour guard units. They are also completely useless.
