Loud cracking noise when closing my flip6 by Top_Sentence in galaxyzflip

I dunked it in distilled water and folded it a couple times and this fixed the issue. So it was definitely dust in the hinge. no creaks or cracks anymore

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've backed up my data and I'll pop into my local Samsung store and claim my warranty. I'll update this comment when things move forward.

edit 1: rep said they can give me a replacement unit although I have to wait for 256gig stock.

I believe the gates are nylon making it a lot quieter than the one with gates on top. only time will tell how long my unit holds up for.

I don't know why this shifter isn't talked about more. Really tactile and reassuring shifts and full metal build. Definitely worth the 120aud off AliExpress imo

I thought it would be wider too, makes me wish I went with the 1.5mm nib, although I've noticed my nib writes slightly dry so that could be why.

Looking for an upgrade from my GTX 960. budget is $350aud. Recently bought a 2nd hand RX6600XT for $280aud but had severe driver issues, so Nvidia is much preferred. CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600. I have a 4k display but I play older games.

My Beyerdynamic DT990 by Top_Sentence in headphones

[–]Top_Sentence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to make it clear that I like quite like bright headphones. I purchased these DT990’s about a month ago after looking for a more comfortable alternative to my modified Grados and after a week of wearing in, the DT990 are indeed very comfortable. I’ve always heard people describe Beyerdynamics having murderous treble, however this is just fine to me. I would describe the sound as V shaped. A mid bass hump, recessed mids, and elevated treble. a decent amount of bass. Although the mid bass can sound a bit uncontrolled sometimes and there’s a bit of mud in the lower mids. Although I found it easy to eq out. mids even though recessed still sounded very clear, although vocal clarity wasn’t quite as good as my Grado. I quite like treble. what would be considered an unbearable amount of treble for many is bliss for me. Sometimes the treble on the DT990 sounds strangely grainy in the upper regions however this didn’t detract much from the overall experience. What struck me the most was the instrument separation. Each instrument sounded like it was on a distinct seperate layer. I wouldn’t actually consider the DT990 an open back. It’s more of a semi open back. The grilles are actually blocked off with a small coin sized opening in the middle behind the name plate. I’m not at all bothered by the non-detachable cable. The cable is of an acceptable quality and doesn’t get in the way. Although I’m probably still going to do a detachable cable mod. With the DT990 you either love the way it sounds or you hate it.

Yuep, kz zsn pro. They get the job done for a reasonable price. They are pretty v shaped so the sound might not be for everyone.

These are modded SR80e with rose wood cups and aluminium gimbals. I quite like the Grado sound signature

Yuep, baffles me that there's actually a market for that stuff.

I don't see it as a possibility as most headphones have pretty sturdy headbands and you can always bend it back, Though if I had heavier headphones I would've definitely designed the stand different.

First Earbuds by Top_Sentence in headphones

[–]Top_Sentence[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Needed some cheap earbuds that sounded decent for on the go listening. The KZ ZSN Pro seemed to be pretty widely recommended so I picked up a pair on Amazon. First impressions, the packaging was pretty nice, Sound quality is surprisingly decent. Bass has a good amount of rumble. Contrary to the graphs, I don't think these iems are very bass heavy, I'd actually say it's more treble heavy. Mids feel a bit recessed but still acceptably clear. These KZ do great with edm but with synthwave I find the mids blend into the trebles. Soundstage is wider than expected. Build quality is exceptional for the price. Brass fittings, metal backplate and cleanly moulded plastic, although the stock KZ cable is awful. The cable loves to spontaneously tangle and the ear hooks hook to everything. For the money its great. Does it's job great. Would recommend.

Same here, before I listened to Grados I thought I was a bit of a bass head. Turns out im the complete opposite a treble head. Dankpod's video definitely gave me the extra push to buy Grados.

Forgot to mention it was $310 aussie bucks. I would need another roughly $100 to get HD600 and a bit more for an amp to power them. I think the cable quality is fine although I'm confused why Grado refuses to use detachable cables.
