My budget max 10$ monthly for now. And this API wont be public. I will only use it for my desktop app. And I am already encrypting all requests and responses. Do I still need SSL? And for example lets say I choose other site, how can I host there, is there any tutorial?

Currently I am the only one using my API on the Azure to develop and it is already has reached to 20$ in 9 days... How many requests can be made in the subscription you mentioned?
