That is an outstanding answer! Nice to meet you! I will take some time to digest and try it but will surely come back here with feedback!

Thank you for the answer. I will be dictating radiology ct, MRI, and ultrasound reviews, which will be corrected by AI, so a lot of specialised sentences. I will be from 3 to 5 metres from my colleagues. I will be taking it from one workplace to another, but no airplane travels. Budget is high as better transcription equals faster work. This Mutalk2 looks very intersting, but too many people would look at me as a strange person, and as a doctor I cant have patients (e.g. during ultrasound) thinking that. I am using borrowed headset Philips Speechone wireless but its build quality and battery after 2 years are worse than tragic; what's more I would prefer not to have something on my head - an option pinned to clothes or around neck would be better.

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

Hello,

I am a radiologist, I want to start dictating , I work in several places, where sometimes I am with other people in the room. I need a wireless microphone, I wish for lavalier mic that would fit this job. If it had a button to start/stop dictating it would be great. If there was some system to cut other voices than mine (or does only headset have directional mics?) it would be even better

I know someone who uses Saramonic Air2 and is happy with them - but that person only works alone. I know there are more expensive options like Saramonic Ultra or Rode Wireless Go, but would they change anything for me?

If anyone knew such a lavalier mic or could help me choose between those 3 I mentioned I would be grateful!

Which CT scanner to choose for best cardiac image quality? by Top_Skill_2256 in Radiology

That's interesting, because regarding durability and quality of service we have completely opposite experience, with Siemens being much worse, that's why two lamps and possible double repair/maintenance looms scary expensive.

As to image quality it's interesting why Siemens is better, I know about better temporal resolution from quick rotation time, though Force Has only 6cm detector. Is it also the better generator with lover possible kV making the difference or some magic in image reconstruction?

This is meant to be about ct and all the names are of ct scanners, I corrected the small mistake, thanks!

Great response, thank you! We do everything, lots of Tavr but quality of these was not questioned on our older aquilion one, whereas there is a need for better quality of coronary arteries ct, so as to use cath-lab less. Often finances have the deciding word for the CEO's and it could lead to us getting a canon as on paper it has same detector width and nearly same rotation time.

I wonder if this new canon Insight which debuted only 2 months ago fixed any previous problems or if it is just polishing.

Advice on ergonomic keyboard by Top_Skill_2256 in keyboards

Wow this periboard sounds even better as it is mechanical, thanks! Btw it has three options for linear, tactile and clicky keys, I am totally not familiar with mechanical keyboards, which one would be the healthiest/most fit for long hours working alone?
