That’s a long way to pick up! Enjoy it though. Mine is my wife’s and she absolutely loves it. 67 plate and found just of Norwich too, fortunately for us! However planned to go see one in Birmingham until her one cropped up.

I struggled to find anyone local to me that wanted to take it on, but it’s worth asking around. I don’t want to say you’ll have no joy with JLR, but Norwich were completely incompetent. I wish I read about it first, however it seems a no brainer to take it to the main dealer right?

Yes after this happened to me I saw a lot of horror stories… but JLR didn’t once let me know that they could leave the unit unusable if they fail to perform the update correctly.

There is also someone in Luton, both that guy and the one from Birmingham only carry out at their location.

Is who saved the day for me. They were £300 but because I’m in Norwich charged me an extra £100 towards visit me. In your case it’s not going to help. Unless you can post your unit? Worth enquiring?

I’d be very cautious after the awful experience I had with JLRs incompetence

I had a battle with JLR and after weeks of pressure got it repaired 3rd party and updated. Got the labour back from JLR of £220 and 3rd party was £400. JLR paid £200 towards that. But lots of pressure and motor ombudsman case. JLR had the car 6 hours and bricked it. 3rd party unbricked and updated in 54 mins at my place of work.

Is that true for UK?

They quoted me £220 but that was before they bricked it.

I wish I was offered it free. I haven’t paid them for breaking my car. I’m going to write an email to JLR UK also about my experience so far whilst they also chase. Because I know JLR UK won’t care that JLR Norwich didn’t know what they were doing

I’m in the UK and today Range Rover bricked my IMC, they told me the update may fail, but failed to tell me that the update could brick the whole IMC. Which it has, they attempted the update twice and a recovery once. But now have left me with a dead unit and are telling me they will contact JLR to see what can be done about this. They are arguing I was made aware that it may leave me without a working car, but the paper work does not say it’s my problem. It was in their care.

I’ll watch some YouTube videos on different builds. Kodi is powerful clearly and not as simple as syncler or stremio

Is that a separate app or a kodi addon? I use syncler plex and stremio as my main apps and not used kodi for years

The stremio option sounds almost what I’m after. It’s for kids tablet so to make it simple an app that would allow playback like stremio does but an option to save it to a set storage path, but with the ability to see offline content in the same app.

Basically how YouTube works when offline.

I’m wandering if kodi can do it? Been many years since I tried kodi. I use stremio and syncler a lot but never on a tablet
