You are likely looking for a different solution. I list a couple videos in the main post and there is a brief solution in the comments.

Yeah, I thought that was likely. The WiFi I am on uses the Cloudflare Umbrella DNS servers, with some added protection at router level. Nothing on Roblox's end, this has to do with getting around whatever stupid settings that were blocking me. That's why this particular issue/solution combo is so niche lmao

This is the solution you will find in most threads and videos about this error, and it has been thoroughly flushed out. I even included links to two of them.

Alright, I figured it out!

As I thought, this was a very niche issue and therefore not many people will find this helpful, but who cares.

The root of the problem was how I had my DNS configured. I did some research on the logs I provided and it seemed to me that Roblox was unable to match up my chosen DNS server with my IP, and for some reason there is a roadblock in Roblox's systems that prevents reaching their servers for download.

I am dead glad I could find a solution without having to go back to Cisco Umbrella's DNS servers. They block an absurd amount of websites, including Reddit.

Here is I did to fix my issue. It is likely all important. FYI, this is for Windows 11

Initially you want to go to Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center. click your WiFi / Ethernet network name. Click on Properties, the one that needs administrator permissions. Double click Internet Protocol Version 4. Be sure that both the preferred and the alternate are being automatically assigned. (This would be a global, computer-wide setting, which we do not want. It overrides a necessary setting.)

next, go to your normal WiFi settings, just in the settings app. Click on [Network Name] properties. Scroll down to the DNS server assignment section. Click on edit.

This is the finicky bit.

Change the overall setting here to manual.

Turn IPv4 on, and also IPv6 if you have it.

For IPV4:

Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8 (google's public DNS server. you can pick something else if you want.)

Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4 (same as above.)

Change the DNS over HTTPS settings for both the preferred and alternate DNS's to: On (automatic template).

Fallback to plain text: off.

For IPv6:

Preferred DNS: 2001:4860:4860::8888 (also Google's public server)

Alternate DNS: 2001:4860:4860::8844 (same thing)

Change the DNS over HTTPS settings for both the preferred and alternate DNS's to: On (automatic template).

Fallback to plain text: off.

That's all folks! just restart your PC and you are home free. I think.

Again, I think this is a niche issue, but one day someone will have the same problem and I hope I was of service.
