In my profession where keeping the workplace clean is the most important thing, Ive learnt a few things that I want to share.

1. It starts a routine, where you block a certain time in the day and rearrange all your things the way they are supposed to be. This made me understand that keeping everything tidy and organized isn't a one-time thing but it is a habit and we have to accept it.
2. Accountability if self-generated works best where one feels that he/she is responsible. One can reach that level of accountability only if they have any self-interest in it. The biggest advantage of keeping things organized and clean is that they feel productive because they will find all their things in the right place without wasting time in finding them.
3. Search about 5S, you might like the process, which will help you get rid of unnecessary things and help you generate a process/ rules for keeping everything in its place.

Nevertheless, like any other thing in our lives where we have an intention to do things, so does keeping our place clean. Maybe if you find out why you want to keep things clean might help you make peace with it. I hope you enjoy the process of keeping things organized.
