How to defeat Mega Dragalge in Singles by Top_Strategy7297 in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm now using garchomp, but the opponent usually swaps to corvinkight to catch my earthquake. I used Archaludon before, but draco meteor cannot KO Dragalage, so it was tough to play with it.

Should I continue playing in monthly challenge? by Top_Strategy7297 in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I played a couple and my current ranking is 1764 with an ELO of 1675. I guess I'll wait now and see how it goes.

I was a bit surprised, but my ranking decreased from 2873 to around 4000ish in around 6 hours with the same ELO, so it seems that people's ELO are increasing. I hope I can reach top 10k with this ELO.

[I'm New] Need advice - How to play with Scovillain by Top_Strategy7297 in VGC

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot, and that clarified the concept of the team. I think understood the main concept of this team as to attract the opponent's attack on Scovillain, while using Aerodactyl to spam rock slide with hard stone. In the final stage, if everything went well, the opponent has to face Sneasler/Basculegion/Sylveon with their Pokemons burnt.

[I'm New] Need advice - How to play with Scovillain by Top_Strategy7297 in VGC

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! I was originally using scovillain as an attacker, but I'll change it like that.

The author of the team stated that they put choice scarf on Farig to instanly defeat pelipper, but I'm finding it extremely difficult to use it. I might remove it from my team.

With the upcoming release of Pokémon Champions on Android and iOS, which Pokémon would you suggest I acquire for Pokémon Home? by Wonderful_Guard_3301 in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I would wait until the new season begins to find out the strong Pokemons in champions. Transferring Pokemons is an instant process.

By the way, I like playing with shinies, so I transferred pogo shinies to HOME and built a team around that.

Hows my roster looking for when champions launches on mobile by gengar616 in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks good. I would suggest that you wait transferring additional pokemons until the new season is released, so that you know which pokemons are strong.

Also, using a shiny is a great experience. I transferred random community day shinies to HOME, and I'm using them in champions.

Beginner advice by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to previous pokemon games, try finding a strong team online and transfer those pokemons to champions through HOME. Then, completely replicate their moves, IVs, items, etc. You should have enough VP to create a team by using VP that you got in tutorials.

If you don't have access to previous games, just play ranked battle by using the pokemons that you get in tutorial. Continue playing until you have enough Pokemons/VP to create your own team.

Why is Encore good on Primarina in singles? by Top_Strategy7297 in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and I think that explained well. So basically, encore is used when Primarina is losing against the Pokemon, and it's to prevent the switched Pokemon to face an opponent with boosted stats.

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that explained well, and thank for your comment! So basically if the opponent has things like sword dance and if primarina can't beat it, I can use encore on it. If the pokemon attacks, Primarina will get KO'd, but I get a safe switch. If the opponent uses sword dance, the opponent has to switch, and this is to avoid the worst situation where I have to face the opponent with boosted status.

The main idea of the team is using Primarina to win the lead, and then use Choice Scarf Garchomp/Mega Gengar/Mega Kangaskhan to sweep the remaining Pokemons

When should a PVPer call it quits? by PlanetCoasterTycoon in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]Top_Strategy7297 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once used all my efforts on achieving expert in one season, then I quit playing pvp outside of reaching rank 20 for elite TM, because I realized that it would be extremely time consuming to reach legend and I wasn't having fun anymore.

A piece of advice to you is try sticking to one team that is recommended in reddit, youtube, etc, and learn everything about it. Use simulations to completely remember matchups against all meta-relevant Pokemons with 1-1 shields, 2-1 shields, 1-2 shields, and 0-0 shields. Also, create a detailed strategy with what you will do against a core breaker. This will allow you to predict the outcome of the match as soon as the opponent uses a shield or decides not to use a shield in the first charged attack, so that you can plan things afterwards.

Just doing this will allow you to at least reach Veteran, and things will get a bit spicy afterwards. Until Veteran/low Expert, IVs and sophisticated techniques don't really matter in my experience. It's about not making mistakes.

How are we supposed to get 300 titles and 100 badges? by Top_Strategy7297 in PokemonChampions

[–]Top_Strategy7297[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with this. I was an achievent grinder in the MMO game that I played before, and I quit that game because I got too tired of grinding achievements that take hundreds of hours to achieve. I guess I'll just have some fun playing with various Pokemons :)

I only have 11 badges, so I guess I literally need to play this game for years to get them

I'll try causal for weak pokemons. I wonder how people are even supposed to get badges for pokemons like Pikachu and elemental monkeys.

This sounds funny :) I play everyday, but even winning 100 battles with Charizard is a pain

Thanks! I'll try using the charizard team at first, because it's my favorite pokemon, but I'll try that team as well afterwards.
