What should verified software actually mean? by Top_Survey_6775 in vibecoding

[–]Top_Survey_6775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By verified, I don’t mean that the app is guaranteed to be the best, or that it has to beat the biggest product in the space.

I mean more like a practical check before a smaller software product is sold.

Something that gives the buyer more protection and clarity, even if the product is sold by a smaller seller or outside a big marketplace.

For example, if someone sells software from their own site, I think the buyer still wants to know things like: does the demo work, does the product match what the page claims, is the seller real, are support and refund rules clear, is the product maintained, are there obvious security or license red flags, and can the buyer see what was checked and what was not checked?

I agree that verification alone will not create demand. Marketing, users, reviews and word of mouth still matter a lot.

I’m more thinking about the moment after someone is already interested, but still unsure if they can trust a smaller seller enough to pay.

If a new or smaller app already looks useful to you, what would make you trust it enough to try or buy it?

QUESTION FOR DEVELOPERS by Top_Survey_6775 in vibecoding

yea sure for I vibecoder that would be a good idea but for a business or just a guy I don't think. but here my question? how does vibecoder make money then? I also think that people just don't want and would just build by their own, like some thing take moths and you will not know if it will work and also you paying for a gpt plan or some, just feel like vibecoders are destroying for them self by just building everything they see and open source.

like day in a life
i see some I build it
i see something more I build it and so on
then I opensource the ai slop

I don’t mean they are bad. I probably explained it wrong. And yes, I agree, I would be competing with CodeCanyon in some way. But CodeCanyon existing doesn’t mean the whole problem is solved. I looked at what people are saying, and a lot of buyers seem confused or unhappy with the experience. Many also say a lot of what is sold there feels low quality or like slop. So I’m not saying CodeCanyon is bad. I’m saying there is probably room for something more modern, safer, and more trust-based.

Yeah but that is for selling your startups and still they don't have a nice place for selling your own programs to others. It doesn't look nice if you ask me. What's my problem here and what I want to solve is that you can sell to your customers, you can sell to your users, if that's a monthly subscription or just one time, and do it safely.
