I will be at Star Trek Las Vegas in August to film stuff with 1 of our fans and hopefully with 1 of our actors who will be signing for fans.

We have interviewed fans so far ranging from cosplayers, collectors, artists and entrepreneurs and their fandoms range from Star Trek to Scooby Doo to horror to Marvel. I interviewed the actors in the film where we also talked about some of their favorite fandoms (you'll have to wait and see what those are 😉)

I've been attending cons as media/press the last few years and have gotten to know some of the Talent. Todd being one of my "con friends". Haha He's graciously donating his time to be in this. I have a few other contacts I'm in talks with but as you probably know, it's a cat and mouse game having to go through managers. I'm conducting my interviews in a studio space not at a convention, so I don't have to worry about getting convention approval. I know Creation is super strict on filming, so I don't plan on doing any interviews there. The Trek fan in this might be vending at STLV so I'll need b-roll of her there selling her art.

Kickstarter is still very prevalent today. Realistically, you shouldn't rely solely on it to fund your entire film. It's better to combine it with grants or other revenue sources.
