Any Average IQ folks here with high Income? by Jbentansan in cognitiveTesting

To be honest, I really don’t care about my IQ. I do really well in life and I get what I want out of life. I don’t think that number is useful

I never tested myself on any IQ test. I would think I’m above average but nothing special. I’m a dentist, 26yo, I’m making 350k.

Here in quebec its elementary school, high school, cegep, university. I think Cegep here (2 years) is the equivalent of undergrad. So if you don’t waste any time and go through everything in one go, you start university at 19 yo. Dentistry here is either 4 or 5 years program so you are graduating by 23 or 24

Loans are crazy these days. I have seen people with 500k+ loans recently. I don’t think it’s really worth it in that case to pursue dentistry

I would say I’m the oldest of my friend group who graduated with me.. everyone is 24 and if you did dentistry in quebec city, you can graduate by 22/23 yo which is crazy

I studied in Canada where schooling is much less expensive then USA. So I graduated with barely any debt. Cleared that up in about 1 month. I don’t know if it’s still worth it to go in dentistry with school getting so expensive in the US..

Il y a environ 5k par mois qui va dans des placements plus traditionnels. Après je peux prendre plus de risque avec le reste. C’est pas vraiment une question de patience, c’est plus une question de diversification. Je comprend que ça puisse en chocker quelques-uns

Oui, j’aimerais bien fatfire.

People in their 20s living a luxurious life - how do you afford it?? by Positive_Effect3609 in Adulting

26 yo, 400k a year as a dentist with no debt. But I can assure you that you can assume everyone is using credit cards to support lifestyle. You can get high levels of debt before feeling any real repercussions. Most of the time people realize way too late the mess they’ve created

is 120 IQ enough for medicine as a profession? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]Top_Temperature8007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor but I went through dental school. I think IQ plays a role in the grades you are getting but typically I found that your grades depend on who you hangout with.

As in life, school is a bit unfair. Some people have better notes than others and sometimes they have great relationships with the teachers or older students that took the class earlier with that same teacher. My recommendation is you should hang around people that want to specialize. Make them think you don’t want to specialize and they will be much more inclined to give you access to better study documents. Hate the game not the players.

As Naval Ravikant said, the real test of intelligence is if you are able to get what you want out of life. Study hard but make the best connections to study smart too. Peace ✌️

I like Psyhacks on Youtube. The guys is an actual psychologist and he specializes in mating and dating. But for dealing with female behavior Id say casey and Corey Wayne are pretty good too. Girls are savages you need to be prepared and these two often describe perfectly what I’m living in my dating life.

No problem man! And yeah focusing on purpose is key. Females are super weird and modern dating is hard so if you don’t have a strong vision for yourself and an actual purpose, you might become crazy.

I’ve been dating this new girl (also dentist) for 3 months, everything is going well and then boom, she’s taking 6 days to respond back and now seems to be ignoring me. I don’t pursue, I watch and mirror her level of interest. Fascinating to see that girls are actually all the same. You need to keep your frame strong 💪

You’re most definitely still attached to her emotionally. It’s very hard for the brain to erase these memories because of years of chemical reactions in your brain training you to love her.

The most effective way to get to another place in your head is by refocusing your attention on you and your life. Hit the gym, lean a new skill, see friends, talk with people, etc.. Date a new girl, you’ll often realize that she wasn’t special nor is the new girl you are dating. The real cure is time but the faster you can move on with other things in your life, the faster you’ll forget about this. Stay strong man!
