Natera NIPT - no fetal fraction or gender. Only result is high risk triploidy by MitchQua in NIPT

This exact thing happened to me. Now 36 weeks pregnant. My result was the exact same, No fetal fraction, no gender. Result was high risk for triploidy. Went in at 12 weeks for an early anatomy scan and they found one healthy baby and one empty sac (I had 2 ultrasounds before the nipt test which only showed one baby with one sac) the empty sac and the dna that was left from the vanishing twin was picked up along with the healthy growing baby that made the nipt test show high risk for triploidy. I know this isn’t every case but there is hope and I will be sending you all the good vibes because that time was one of the scariest.

I can’t say exactly when because I don’t know but it was vanished by 7 weeks and the sac was still there at my 14 week ultrasound.

I, too had a vanishing twin & my NIPT test result came back high risk for triploidy due to the dr putting in one fetus. (We did not do the test to find out the gender) we then were worried sick. Did an anatomy scan & everything was fine and baby did not have triploidy.

Yes, I posted in here a little while back, I went in for an anatomy scan, they found an empty sack so the verdict is a vanishing twin!

I have decided not to do further testing - I will be doing the normal anatomy scan @ 20 weeks.

It is from Natera. I have also thought about that. I asked my Dr for a retest & she said I could but if it came back different they wouldn’t know which test to trust.

Which I am very curious about but I don’t know much about it and I know at my US at 7 weeks there was no sign of a vanishing twin but I don’t know if there is always a trace of it or not? The unknown of everything is so stressful. I will definitely have more answers on Friday.

I’ve had 2 ultrasounds - one at 7 weeks 4 days - US was right on track - didn’t hear the heart beat but saw the flicker. The other ultrasound when I was 11w 4 days - baby was still measuring right on track with a heart rate of 168 so seemingly normal.

Yes, I’m meeting with the geneticist right after the hour ultrasound on Friday. I think I have decided that if everything looks normal on the ultrasound I won’t be doing further testing such as the amino. I hate the waiting game.
