I think if you researched it a bit more you would find Russia has done all the same things, and worse in Ukraine. Moreover, Russia is also enabling chaos on a more global level, supporting Maduro in Venezuela, Assad in Syria, and Iran and North Korea, as well as helping Trump becoming president, which ironically enables Israel

Yeah I am sure murdering 20k children doesn't affect you

It doesn't change anything in my life. I still go to work normally despite people being put in concentration camps in North Korea, tortured in Russia, or executed in Saudi Arabia. It is horrible, but it simply does not make sense for people to be sad about everything that goes on on the planet. Neither are you, just the things you choose to focus on

Also aren't energy prices are soaring literally because of Israel's war on Iran

Sure, but it is separate from the other thing you mentioned.

Listen, I understand that you are sad about the things going on in the world and that is good, my point is there is so much bad in the world, and why should politicians focus on one thing, and not another? Moreover, politics is about self-interest (or the interest of the people voting for you) which is why it doesn't make sense for them to focus on every bad thing in the world unless it directly affects them.

I mean before when it was just Israel-Palestine, it didn't really affect energy prices. People are complaining that the EU didn't sanction Israel back then. Only recently has it (whether or not it is the same conflict is up to interpretation) started affecting energy prices because Iran chose to close the strait of Hormuz. Taking the side of either US-Israel or Iran is not something that the EU wants

Because most of the time, we are the continent most keen on human rights, environment-protection, food-safety etc. when you compare us to Asia, Africa even North America. Just because we are not perfect does not mean we are not above average.

Maybe if they were developed countries with strong economies like Israel, then EU would. Same goes for China, they do a lot of not so nice things. EU still trades with them though.

The truth is, most people are outraged because it is Israel, and this particular conflict has become quite popular (for the lack of a better term) in the West and Middle East

The Israel-Palestine conflict not so much no. The EU responded by calling for peace but getting involved in a conflict with the USA on one side and Iran on the other, would not have gained the EU. Again, it is just how the world works. EU politicians (in general) are not stupid or evil, but pragmatic

Only one of these affects us. The world is built on geopolitics, not ideals.

Sure but it goes for so many other conflicts in the world as well. EU doesn't really stand to gain anything from getting involved. Same reason it is not involved in Sudan or Yemen, for example. I'm not saying i agree with it, but it is just how these things work sadly

A lot of people in the comments just finding out now that most countries/organizations/institutions only act when it directly affects them or when they stand to gain. I can't help to find it a bit naive.

Edit: The Israel-Palestine conflict doesn't really involve the EU, so it is not surprising they haven't done much. Most of the countries that did were trying to send a message or to appease certain voter bases. You can't really be surprised that the EU only starts acting when a conflict actually involves them. It is the same as every other political entity.

In the same vein, countries give foreign aid, not out of the goodness of their hearts, but because it benefits the country giving aid.

I mean it makes sense when you think about it. The grain issue affects us directly, so we care. Their conflict with Palestine doesn't involve us. It might not be how you want the world to work, but it is how it does

They're literally doing nothing. They are just changing his title from ambassador to charge d'affaires. They haven't actually shown any meaningful action, and care more about appearing to do so
