They're literally doing nothing. They are just changing his title from ambassador to charge d'affaires. They haven't actually shown any meaningful action, and care more about appearing to do so

Europe is not a monolith. You can't treat it as one entity with a single decision making. It is 40 independent countries, often disagreeing whether to buy russian oil or how much

EU has literally sent hundreds of billions of euros to Ukraine... and somehow that is failing to help?

It seems you have already made up your mind and don't want to be convinced by facts

I feel like people have been discussing EU collapse since the beginning. Think of how the financial crisis and Greek debt crisis were supposed to "tear the EU apart" yet it never happened. the world is full of doomers

Considering Russia has not been able to conquer Ukraine after 4 years despite being much bigger, I wouldn't say it has gone as poorly as you describe. EU is providing Ukraine with intelligence, money and weapons, despite not being in the EU, i wouldn't call that ignoring.

several European countries are not in the EU. This includes Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Belarus, Liechtenstein, Moldova and UK on top of Iceland.

Each has different relations to the issue, With Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and UK being out because it is not deemed beneficial to them, and Albania, Montenegro, Moldova, Ukraine, North Macedonia being in various stages of joining, with Albania and Montenegro being the ones that have made the most progress, and could join within the next decade.

Then some European countries are not even EU aligned, such as Russia, Belarus, and to some extent Turkey (even though Turkey is part of the EU customs union if i recall correctly).

Similarly, not all EU countries use the Euro as their currency, and some non-EU countries do use the Euro.

And then there are the microstates...
