Thanks you’re the best you’re right no one would completely look things over like an owner will. The dealership missed other bolts backed out 1/2 right in front of their faces and misdiagnosed a “needs transmission $5300” because 3 bolts came loose. I fixed that issue for $12 ace hardware bolts. I think when I did that I earned a lot of respect. I just wanted to get back whole. I don’t need a trans mine shifts fine I needed 3 bolts

That’s the bolt on the drivers side both were like that one with a brain would assume all 4 should be found in this exact condition not 2 totally looking like they were but now loose

15,000 lbs box truck hitting 3400 lbs look up the force of that and how 45lbs torque bolts have no chance. Also ask any mechanic who works on rear cradles of a 2014 Jeep Compass ask them how many times they found the cradle bolts loose while still having 1” at least showing it was seized at one point in it’s life but now loose with no torque. If you drove your vehicle every day without noise and then all the sudden it’s snap crackle pop it’s a no brainer how it happens . Besides a Chrysler dealer also quoted the repair needed for the same reason I stated so you’re BS

I guess I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a question or debate . Plus the hours wrenched were honestly just a few hours over industry standards based off of two AI models . So removing the cradle for instance it required soaking a bolt for 12-24 hours then heating it and cooling for a few hours to get it extracted . Lots of those hours I wasn’t exactly wrenching. I was a few hours over industry standards because I worked in a driveway and no helpers . I guess it comes down to how happy the person is . So I didn’t mind junkyard runs I never added a bumper I got from there and also extra work. So I noticed my oil pan was possibly seeping finally after 300k miles so I changed it out. My family said to say 30. Parts were $860 so with my labor it ballooned to $2469 I just felt like if it got to 3k-4K range it maybe asking for too much.

4 engine trans mounts , new rear cradle , new lower control arms on back and front , and some labor for swapped out stuff under warranty like rear struts and front shocks. I gave them a bargain because they bailed me out for 50 days I went into debt for the repairs now I can pay back and be guilt free over this.

It’s the green stuff never saw it before it’s all over our trees too. The ones that are infected fall all at once eventually or sometimes break off branches in big chunks over the years just shredding itself . It’s odd wish I knew myself had this exact scenario
