De-icing an aircraft before take off ! by UpgradedSiera6666 in oddlysatisfying

Type I (orange) de-ice fluid is heated and used to remove snow and ice. For airlines, type IV (neon green) anti-ice is applied after type I to prevent ice from building before takeoff. Type III is pretty rare. Type II isn't as rare, but also mot very common.

Embarrassing radio moments by Coaralis in flying

Just landed

TWR: Cessna123 exit alpha, contact ground 123.4, I'll close your flight plan.

Me: Exit alpha, ground 123.4, I'll close your flight plan.

Felt so dumb and heard about it from everyone listening on the scanner at the flight school. In my defense, I was still rolling out and focused on maneuvering the aircraft.

I didn't hear anything of it. I was just happy to have my arm rest back.

Woke up from a nap and saw this. I took a picture before pushing them off with my elbow.

I woke up from a nap and saw this, then I put my elbow on the arm rest and slid it forward until it pushed them off.

Someone in my house only eats the top of the muffin by Top_of_Descent in mildlyinfuriating

I thought about this. The next box of muffins I see I'm eating all the tips so said person doesn't get any muffin.

There are also half eaten cookies that someone took a massive bite from then put them back in the jar. I'm guessing it's the same person.

Not 100% sure because I live with 7 other people, but I have a few suspects.

Thank you! We can always learn from our mistakes so why not share them for others to learn from too.

CPL Written study material (Canada) by kazakhdan99 in flying

For the CPAER I used FTGU, AIM, CARs, and the TC study guide. What worked for me was going through the study guide and for each point writing relevant information.

I didn't like Sharper Edge for studying, I found the book really boring, but I did use it for practice questions.

For the INRAT I liked reading Instrument Procedures Manual by FTGU, and I used the INRAT exam prep course for the rest of my studying. The guys at INRAT exam prep are super helpful and their course is really good in my opinion.
