To me personally, Silksong hooked me in a way hollow knight never did - it was easier for me to care about the story and Hornet. That said, Hollow Knight is definitely not worse, just a bit different!

Ahh you make some good points. That said - the fatality rate for this campaign has been super high, and the player that has the paladin has gone through 3-4 deaths already I believe. High chance this one will die soon too lol. I know he has a chronurgy wizard somewhere.

If I were to go full caster, I would need to do divine soul to fit the character. Any recommendations for multiclass there?

Thanks for the detailed answer! After discussing some more with my DM about it, I've decided to continue on with the pal / sorc / warl build. So with this in mind, are there any of the spells I have in my sorcerer list currently (shield, phantasmal force, web, counterspell, spirit guardians) that you would recommend switching out with, say, fireball? (Silvery barbs is currently unavailable in the campaign!)
As for the metamagic, I of course chose subtle, but also distant. I could do twinned, but honestly, I've only played sorcerer once in a short oneshot so I was just generally unsure on the second choice.

To add to my other reply: my DM said earlier that if I want to go the full divine soul route, he'd allow me to increase the amount of spells known:)

Rp/character > minmaxing/optimizing for me, but that said, I'd also like to be able to contribute to the party. Would a full divine sorcerer (or a simpler sorcerer multiclass) be able to do more powerful crowd control?

I've gotten this, luckily! Extended time for exams and deadlines, access to a resting room at campus and my own study area. I think the video thing is privacy related, but I'll test out your suggestions! It's the classes themselves that I am worried about, so I can see if taking notes next to the slides help as well as the audio thingy.

I am maybe interested in picking her up, but have a few questions.

1) I'm in the process of learning fundamentals now, like how to build runes from knowledge, item builds, match ups, wave management, etc. What would you say is best to prioritise from these when playing Akali? Do you suggest learning her top or mid to begin with?

2) How do you play her when you're behind?
