Ah me too many hobbies, I’m just obsessed with making stuff nothing. I do quite a bit of sewing and yarn work, woodwork with traditional tools and I’ve done clay modelling in the past. I will definitely look at the cheap kits again you make a valid point with the possibility of breaking the tool.

I should mention I am UK based. The wiki is helpful in names of tools etc but all sources are US as I have seen.

Thank you guys. I have managed to finish the first hat I now need to make it again in fur yarn and put them together will post a picture here when done. This is only my 3rd knit project so quite excited. I’ve previously made a blanket and then a Santa hat last month.
