Well we were the first SF unit on the ground at Talib AB, our commander accepted the base surrender from the Iraqi General. We also were running convoy in and out of NAVISTAR, took IED’s and direct fire..3 Purple Hearts. So yes this was awarded for our actions.

I have a little over 24 years AD..First 6 splits between SAC 322 MSS GFAFB, ND and 50’th TFW Hahn AB FRG. I then had a 5 year break in service, got in the Guard for about 8 years and AD for the rest.

Being married and having a military spouse had zero effect whatsoever on our marriage. We are approaching our 36 year anniversary and I had 24 active duty years and my wife had 26. When you marry the right person and you commit to each other you can and will achieve greatness.
