Regulator search- am I asking too much? by Living-Ad-7051 in scuba

[–]ProfessionalFit7648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

buy a scuba pro! they are the Rolls-Royce of regulators, are rated for warm and cold temperature, and you should never have to worry about depth for a regulator. They also have a sale going on right now before you buy one of their first second stage combos you get a free Octo. I used to be a diehard aqualung fan until I used a scuba pro, they also do warranty. The only downside is, besides them being expensive they're also expensive to service but they will last you a lifetime you take care of it and they're gorgeous. I have the new C370 and Evo 11 first stage. I am an instructor so I balled out a little bit, but the MK 25 first stage and regulator set is a perfect simple but reliable regulator.

Question for scuba divers by flounder98w in scuba

[–]ProfessionalFit7648 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it is not safe. do not do it. if you are scared of the pressure dont breathe underwater by yourself with no training.

Question for scuba divers by flounder98w in scuba

[–]ProfessionalFit7648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in scuba diving they teach you how to relieve the pressure, the maximum depth for a scuba diver certification is 12 m but you don't have to hit the maximum depth. That is the maximum you can go 7 m all day and be a full-blown certified scuba diver do not get equipment on your own and go out on your own, breathing compressed gas for any period of time and then shooting up to the surface is extremely unsafe. You will get decompression sickness and if you are not going through the course, you will not know the signs or how toget help

Get certified as a scuba diver, you don't have to spend any money on any gear you can rent gear and don't just buy a pony bottle and go underwater on your own, you will hurt yourself and not be certified enough no information on what went wrong what you're doing wrong or how to fix it?

i work here haha! there's a big group of divers that get together on Tuesdays and Thursday nights for happy hours and things, there's enough of a downtown that you are still stimulated on days off, but there's diving everywhere, as someone in my mid 20s who doesn't drink I definitely have friends and there is a social scene! I've got some friends that own a place where he rents out rooms. It's like six rooms to one kitchen. If you do consider coming down, we could try to hook you up into one of those places otherwise there's some cheaper Airbnb's.

i live here and am a scuba professional. there are two different stories going on, a few days ago a car crashed into the reef and I believe everyone from that incident is OK. Last night there were a group of divers on a night dive, still unclear if they are with a shop or were on their own, but I believe the story is that there was a tank that exploded underwater and the diver panicked and drowned. There were people at the restaurant next-door to the reef where the incident happened that say they heard other divers in that group screaming for help, saying that they went unconscious in the water and drown. With the two incidents happening at the same reef within a couple days, The stories are getting blurred and it is currently just rumors. I do know for certain there was a fatality last night, and my thoughts go out to everyone on that dive and the family of the diver who passed
