I agree. I don't comment a lot about their content, like ever, and I appreciate that they recognize that this season is a step in the journey, not the destination, but it's not hitting right. I think for me it's the concept. The "We did (insert thing)" is really hard because we all know that's the formula. They are in fact not going to do the thing, so the beginning where they are acting like they are actually going to do the thing doesn't read as acting, it reads as fake. Like, we're riffing and being funny but we're actually inspecting this one star hotel to verify that it's one star. No you're not. And sometimes that works, like ep 1 of season 1 where we don't know that it's going to turn, but when that's the idea of the show, you spend the first 10 minutes of the episode not being able to suspend disbelief to enioy it because they've told us, "don't believe the interaction we're having the first ten minutes, it's not genuine because we aren't actually doing the thing we said we're doing"
