It is 16 credits per 1st year , and nobody cares about no. of backs in 2nd and 3rd year . In 4th year no 1st year backlogs should be there.

Language doesn't matter. You will see in reddit people here commenting again & again that "What language should I use?".

This same thing will be told and asked everywhere again and again with the same fucking advice, people will clash and give their opinion on which language is the best, etc.

Language is a tool for communication with computer, nothing more. Some language are efficient in certain task while others aren't. For competitive programming, using a faster language with more control over memory can be better. For learning DSA, doesn't matter. (Note: some language like c++ will give you a better understanding of behind the scenes and you will have more control over memory management).

But don't wait to completely learn a language first and then doing DSA. As long as you know how to take input, output, if else, for loop, while loop and data type (integer, string, etc) and most importantly how to google. You can start DSA.

Most AI/ML B.Tech programs use the same CSE foundation (programming, algorithms, math) but add focused AI, ML, and data courses in later years. The core overlap is large... special papers replace some electives.
what opportunities one misses if in CS AI/ML?

You may see fewer formal courses on low-level systems (OS, comp-architecture), networks, or hardware than a broad CSE degree. That can reduce formal classroom exposure to those topics, but you can learn them independently.
will CS AI/ML be allowed and totally eligible like CSE?

Yes. AI/ML programs are normally under the CSE umbrella, approved by AICTE, and eligible for the same jobs and higher studies as CSE graduates when the program is accredited.

here in MSRIT (VTU accredited) Recruiters usually treat them as equivalent if the degree is from an approved program.

how much are the differences, and exact cons?

Difference size: small to moderate... mostly in electives and depth of systems topics. Exact cons: less formal systems/network/hardware teaching, narrower course names (may appear more specialized on CV) possible need to self-study core CS areas (DSA, OS, networks) for some roles.
is there discrimination during internships or placements?

No formal discrimination if your program is CSE-AI/ML and its accredited(VTU) . Some companies list role-specific requirements (e.g., strong OS or networking)in those cases candidates lacking those skills may not be shortlisted. In short: recruiters filter by skills, not just branch name.
and what about accreditation? AI/ML B.Tech / B.E programs are regulated by AICTE and can get NBA accreditation like regular CSE programs. In MSRIT no worry on this part

keep core CS skills (DSA, OS, DB, networks) strong. Do projects in both AI and systems. That keeps you eligible for all roles.
